What lovely find! Such welcoming staff, food "changes" not a problem and dogs welcome too! We arrived as a party of 11 with 3 very muddy dogs and were accommodated without problem. Thank you for a lovely lunch o n a dreich and cold day! I will most definitely come back!

What a wonderful find in Durham. Food was fantastic and staff were actually smiling and happy. Great menu. I will be back!!

What a perfect little place by the river. My breakfast was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Service was excellent. I would highly recommend this lovely coffee shop.

Lovely Veggie breakfast this morning to start my Birthday off in style! Great to see this place open, and bonus of the swans swimming by. �

Love this place. Really welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, excellent location, and beautiful views of the river. The veggie breakfast was amazing... my friend had the banoffee pancakes and was equally pleased. I've found my new favourite place in Durham!

Late review but I came here last Wednesday with mam, her partner and my nanna, lovely little place and delicious food would highly recommend the hot chocolate and panackes are delicious and so are the bacon sandwiches.

Gorgeous riverside cafe, breakfast was absolutely fabulous. The staff are lovely, friendly and so welcoming, even welcoming the poochy with biscuits. We will certainly be back, well worth a try.

Fantastic Independent Cafe on the banks of the river Wear, in Durham City. Very dog friendly, they’re allowed inside and out! Lovely freshly cooked food and more importantly, great coffee. It’s so difficult finding great coffee sometimes when there are so many coffee shops who sell machine/weak/bland coffee but this is definitely not one of those places.



My only wish would be that it was open later than 5pm as I’m often walking my dog along the riverbanks between 6-8pm and there’s nothing else open of this quality.

Amazing Indy coffee shop in the heart of Durham. A hidden gem. lovely decor and great selection of loose leaf teas. Funky quirky touches, I love it! Will be back for sure.

A very warm welcome was received in this quaint riverside restaurant. We had cream tea - which was delicious and highly recommend. Well worth a visit !

Third visit today, nice ambience. Lovely location by the river, shawls provided if it is a bit cool. Other half had soup today, not very hot apparently but insisted he would eat it! Scones are lovely and light. Staff friendly.
