**REPEAT PRESCRIPTION COLLECTION**
You will now be able to collect your pets repeat prescription/flea and wormer from our Kirkbymoorside branch on a Tuesday from 9am until 1pm and a Friday from 1pm until 5pm. We will require 48 HOURS NOTICE. This is an extra service we are offering, you are still able to collect prescriptions from Pickering as normal. *photo credit Google

We've had a Patterdale Terrier brought into the practice as a stray. The dog followed some walkers from near Newton Upon Rawcliffe and has been here all Morning as we've been unable to trace it's owner as the Microchip is not registered. Please contact us on 01751 472204 if you think the dog belongs to you. You will need to provide us with proof of ownership. The dog will be going to the council this afternoon if the owner is not found. PLEASE SHARE.....

We had the pleasure and honour last night of attending the Askham Bryan College Apprencticeship Awards, where our newly qualified RVN Lauren won the Apprentice of the year Award! Well done Lauren; all your hard work has paid off 😊 We are also delighted as a practice to have won the Employer Award for delivering Veterinary Nursing Apprenticeships 😊 We pride ourselves in our continual training of Student Veterinary Nurses. *official photo credits to Askham Bryan College *

We are having an increasing number of messages regarding specific queries via our Facebook page. Please bear in mind that while we aim to be as responsive as possible, we do encourage you to call reception rather than messaging, as our Facebook page is manned by staff who may or may not be at the surgery, and may not always have access to the page. We have a high standard of care from the team at Eastgate Vets in Pickering. Skye especially enjoys eyeing up the treats on the reception desk and asking permission to have one. She is a very fit and healthy 2 yr old dog who has her health needs met by the excellent people here.

We come to see Katie with our 15+ year old dog (Oscar) for accupuncture once a week. Firstly, Oscar is a pretty unbelievable dog who has recently overcome pretty major health issues. He began suffering with arthritis some time ago, causing bad left hind leg weakness. Our regular vet suggested we tried accupuncture and we found Katie. I cannot tell you the huge difference it has made, not only in reducing his pain and stifness, but also to his general wellbeing. If you have any doubts in its ability please don't..it is such a valuable therapy for your animal if they need some pain relief! To put it simply, it makes them comfortable and assists the body to relax and therefore heal. Now on to the staff at Eastgate.

Katie is amazing. Her manner and total dedication to not only your pet, but to you as an owner as well is wonderful. She is so patient with all our queries and questions and explains things as clearly and honestly as she can. With such an old dog that is of great value to us. We have total confidence in her as she has helped us so much.

The Nurses and Reception staff are always happy and very friendly and they clearly enjoy meeting you and your animals.

All in all, Eastgate in our experience is a lovely welcoming vets practice who are very accomodating, and we thank you for the care of our dog (and us!)

Popped in today for help and advice as we are on holiday in the area and our choccie lab Millie had picked up a tick. Everyone was so helpful and gave Millie a check over to put our minds at rest. Thank-you so much �

On behalf of all my family I want to thank the whole team for the care and compassion you gave both us and our beloved dog Holly in her final moments. From the reassurance that we were making the right decision, the touch of lighting the candle, the beautiful poem and the finishing touch of the lovely condolence card you sent for us all.
