Venue and acoustics are great the only downside is the car park at £4.80 per event it is very expensive , and the exiting arrangement a free for all . Next time I will look for other parking

User

I'm constantly at The Sage, it's an incredible venue with excellent sound quality. Throughout the year they have an amazing selection of americana and country bands and I can't get enough.

User

Drove up from the border between Yorkshire and Lancashire to see Marillion and absolutely loved it. Stunning venue in an amazing location, the acoustics were superb. Was definitely worth the 3hr drive up

User

Consistently the best gig going experience in the North of England. Ignore the moaners below. The Sage is a world class venue with world class facilities and world class staff.

User

Impressive venue with great gigs and fantastic views of the quayside but the price of the drinks is diabolical ! £6.40 for a plastic beaker of sub standard house red wine is unbelievable !!!

User

Sage is a wonderful venue. Concentrating though on this week's Gareth Malone concert which was okay, I was asked for £15 for an event programme before it started!!!! The Sage person said this was because it was signed by Gareth, the unsigned ones were 'only' £10. He quickly followed up with sorry I don't set these prices. Come on Sage, or Gareth or whoever but £15 or even £10 for a program borders on theft. Saw loads of people refuse to pay out at that price. What a waste of paper as you must have loads left unsold.....

User

Was very disappointed visiting the sage this morning after checking the website to see what was available , my friend and i travelled there with 4 small children spending over £10 in bus fares and parking charges to find that the instrument station which was advertised was not on , the lady on the infirmation desk told me to complain via the website which is obviously not updated , very disgruntled children and a very poor service .

User

Very badly managed.

Event organisation is abysmal as if overseen by managers with either no experience, or just don't care about looking after the paying customers.

You certainly don't feel safe in the place, as complaints about obnoxious, unruly visitors are ignored by uninterested, bolshie duty managers.

You get the feeling that bar staff, although nice and cherpy, are downtrodden by senior managers.

It used to be a nice place to go and enjoy an evening. Now its seems to be a free for all and anyone can walk in.

Its such a shame that it is going down hill fast.

Its not the performers/acts fault of course.

User

I was very disappointing to go on Saturday 19th May at 11.30pm as this was a Late Late Shows venue open to the early hours. Last year we enjoyed live museum until 2am. This year we were kicked out after half an hour and denied a last drink at the bar at 11.55pm despite being told earlier we would have time. The programme confirmex the venue's involvement but this was untrue and the bar staff made it clear all they were interested in was getting home 2 hours early. I will not be back either to this venue or The Late Shows.
