Popped in here for lunch today, very surprised absolutely lovely, homemade pizza and salad, very reasonable, definitely coming back.

My self and panter and son (14months) went in here yesterday first time since the refurbe wich is lovely bright and welcoming we had the chicken and chorizo burretos one with chips wich were aboustly beautiful the food was spot on service brilliant the beer was nice acouring to the boyfriend I had coffe was lovely only down side was the cup was a bit over full we will be back again

Love this pup definitely the best in Tynemouth. The staff are all great and friendly. Fantastic choice of beers and lagers.

Its our second time eating here and its outstanding food and fantasic value for money we will be back

Great place to drink staff all nice and friendly great service and most importantly they are the only staff in Tynemouth with actual banter.. Have good here on occasions pizzas are fantastic

Enjoyed a lovely lunch today with my 92 year old Mum. The only member of staff at the bar was friendly, the service was quick and the surroundings were warm and comfortable. The member of staff was very busy and could have done with some help as after the snow lots of people were venturing out and the pub was busy. Certainly will bring Mum again, "lovely cup of proper tea".

Always like to have a cheeky drink here and the food is always lovely when I come with the kids.

I have been disappointed in the service of bar staff..

I had lunch here yesterday, with a group of friends, and it was lovely. The food was really nice, and served promptly, despite there being a large group of us. However, your staff seemed unaware that Tynemouth is very keen on eliminating plastic, and straws were put into our drinks, unasked. We told the young woman who served us, and she said she hadn't heard about it though, to be fair, she didn't give us straws after that. Your glasses are sparkling clean, and straws are totally unnecessary, please don't offer them, and dispose of the ones you have, thoughtfully.

Called in on a Monday night so place was very quiet, got served with drinks and ordered food, the food arrived very quickly, but of only average quality, small portions, I ordered fish and chips £9 if I remember, very expensive for what I received, there is some very good pubs to eat in Tynemouth and North Shields, I would certainly drink here again but give the food a miss,

Seriously learn how to cook proper chips instead of using frozen ones and frozen burgers was not impressed and won't be returning in future

Had to send my burger back it was “cremated” I hate the taste of burned food as in “black crispy” burned.. and my chips were soft and cold like they had sat for a “while” .. staff are miserable too! Not be coming back here for a meal!

Went for lunch today 7 jan....I ordered hunters chicken...my partner ordered roast beef ....chicken really was foul !...tiny serving of peas and chips ...chips were terrible... refused it and also anything else on the menu ...partners roast beef was 'floating' in a pond of gravy flooded she sent in back...waitress said she would return with s fresh beef dinner with less 'gravy'....she came back and refunded our money ..we waited 20mins for my partners meal but gave up and left...we went up the street to the Italian's.... what a difference... absolutely delicious in fact we are going back in a couple of weeks for a family meal ....avoid the 'Salutation'....

Staff were lovely food was pants . When the food came out it was a child's portion and the chicken was like rubber.

Sack the chef can't even heat a pre cooked lasagna properly. Stone cold in centre . Coke tasted like cheap rubbish you got at the local scruffs birthday party when you were little. 0/10

Ive a few times with my hubby for drinks and decided to try the dood. I had the loaded Mac and Cheese and hubby the fish and chips. Hubby ate his but mine was in-edible. Tinned/frozen tasteless macaroni cheese (supermarket tinned tastes better) 3strips of pulled pork,a tiny strip of bacon and what was described as 'burnt ends' was a 'tinned' piece of steak. Oh and elastic foccacia bread!!!! We will visit for drinks in the future but will eat elsewhere first
