The inshore lifeboat was called out today. Thankfully everyone was safe and well. We are so lucky to have the volunteer RNLI lads willing to turn out in all weathers to help anyone struggling.

Its that time of year again folks :) Spring just sprung

Occasionally we get a visit from some lovely sailing vessels. Wouldnt it be nice to see more of this in Whitby Harbour.

The Screaming Hole Or Keyhole Tunnel on Khyber Pass is directly above our cottages. the views are very similar, and in summer the whole East Side of Whitby can take on a beautiful golden glow during the evening and upto sunset.
Just one more little thing that makes Whitby so special.

Sometimes in spring we get this amazing situation where the sea fret rolls in and out of town. If you catch it right you can often get periods of time where your above the mist looking over the top of it.
It really does make great atmospheric photographs and makes you realise just how special our little town really is.

Looking out of Lighthouse Cottage window Yesterday Afternoon. There are a few daffodils flowering on the cliffside and the late afternoon sunshine gives the cliffs and church a beautiful glow.
