Today's edition of the Sunday Times newspaper included us in the top five places to camp in Britain this summer! Well chuffed! :-)

what a lovely site very clean and tidy..friendly owners and staff..free WiFi in the comfy shed ..great for walking and the bus is every half hour to Whitby..we hadn't been to the site for quite a few years but we shall certainly be going again.. just had a wonderful 4 days break

keep coming back to this wonderful site which me and my husband adore and a few trips we have taken our friends and little ones who have also loved the site. Love having a shower listening to Graham Norton on BBC radio 2 on a Saturday morning :). Going to try the new additions to the site especially the potting shed. Only downside is it would be peaceful if some campers would tone down after 10mp which they do not which I think the warden should come round after this time and check the noise level but noisey campers doesn't stop us from coming back each year

Well run friendly staff lived up to its name . Back in September

We stayed in the Belle tent and it was amazing, the bed was comfortable the location of the tent was secluded and peaceful. The set up is just lovely. The bathroom and shower rooms were lovely, modern and very clean. Plenty of walks and beaches surrounding the campsite which just makes it ideal for the dogs!! Would recommend to everyone, we will be returning!

We love this campsite. The facilities are immaculate. There is a very comfortable wifi room. Wes and Sarah go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The location is great- Hinderwell is a lovely little village. You can walk along the coast to Staithes or Whitby. There is also an excellent bus service to both. We have been at least once a year for as long as we can remember and hope it won't be too long before our next visit.

We just got back from a long weekend at this lovely site. Great facilities, friendly staff, quiet and plenty of space. Many good beaches and pretty harbours and villages to explore as well as good pubs, a shop and cafe right on the doorstep. Can't wait to return!

We found Serenity by simply looking on Google Maps for campsites around Staithes, did some research and booked. We are glad we did, what a superb campsite set in a stunning location, we are glad we stayed!

We were made to feel very welcome from the minute we arrived, both the owners and guests alike. The site itself was spotless, peaceful and set in a convenient location to explore the Cleveland Way.

Spotlessly clean, owners are very welcoming, everything you might need. The site is really relaxing and quiet, which was perfect. Some stunning walks to Runswick Bay, Staithes or even further afield.

Would highly recommend this beautiful site, and we’ll be back again soon.

Spent an amazing 2 days twixt Runswick and Staithes at Serenity. From a lovely greeting to a fond farewell all was perfect.

Really enjoyed our stay at Serenity Camping. A lot of thought has been put in to making this campsite into a really relaxing experience. A really friendly welcome with a tour around the site and you are shown personally to your pitch. Lots of extra facilities like tea and coffee making facility with honesty box for the ingredients, very clean showers and toilet facilities, wifi cabin and comfortable seating area. We were very blessed with the weather but know I would have really appreciated these hidden extras had it been a different story. Would definitely like to stay again.

My family and I stayed at serenity camp for our first camping experience over the weekend and it was absolutely fantastic! The owners and staff are so welcoming and friendly. We especially enjoyed their peace keeping policy, children are welcomed on site if they are quiet, well behaved and supervised at all times due to the peaceful nature of the site, which was absolutely perfect for us. Runswick Bay is an absolute must see, stunning views and awesome icecream. Cannot wait to visit again. Thank you for providing us with such a fantastic first camping experience.

Just spent 1 night to practice putting up our new tent. Beautiful site which lives up to its name - peaceful, pretty, gorgeous views, wildlife, nature garden. Cleanest loos ever, spacious plots, very useful campers kitchen and very friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely recommend.

Just returned from a fabulous 3 night stay this week. It's a lovely, well maintained site, plenty of space between pitches, very helpful staff, superb clean facilities. The campers kitchen is great and much needed when we woke early to find temp was 3 degrees! And our stove had broken, so having a kettle to boil for a brew was a godsend. If you are looking for serenity you just might find it here, wonderful dawn chorus, very green,pretty little spaces and wildlife garden. Great breakfast at Runcible Spoon, the Badger Hounds food is great and huge portions. Local walks stunning! Cleveland way is breath taking, this site is ideally located for so many things. Just perfect for a quiet few nights away. Peaceful, welcoming and facilities go above and beyond. Lovely staff. Storm Brian didn't even ruin the weekend. It made the WiFi hut a great place to make new friends.�

I’m here now on holiday with my 2 little dogs for the fifth year in a row . It’s the best campsite in England in my eyes , I highly recommend a stay here . So peaceful, spotless clean added extra finishing touches fresh flowers , ice-packs biscuits, just home from home for me . I’ve just booked for next year too �

I have just got back from a 3 night stay in the Potting Shed at serenity, and I am lost for words!!

The Potting Shed is just amazing and was more than anyone could ask for. The site itself is immaculate and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

It’s in a beautiful location and the local amenities are brilliant.

I have only been home 30 minutes and am already enquiring about returning this season.

Had a nice relaxing three night break for Easter in the potting shed excellent facilities immaculate shower and toilet block very helpful and friendly staff will definitely go back again would recommend this site

Gorgeous campsite, the best we've been to, well looked after and a fab location! We hoped for a last minute Bank Holiday slot and wasn't disappointed. Serenity took our details, went to measure the pitch to double check they could squeeze us in and despite us having signal problems and others wanting the pitch, they held it for us until we could ring them back! Very friendly and welcoming, will definitely be back and dont worry, we'll book more in advance this time :)
