Meet the team behind the scenes at Smartfix…
This is Carl Simpson 👨‍🔧, one of our Alloy Wheel Trainee Technicians.
Carl joined our Smartfix team in September 2018, and is working in our Alloyfix department.
... He previously worked for a joinery company making and painting windows & doors but with a passion for cars Carl saw the Job Advertisement as the perfect opportunity for a career change at the grand old age of 34 👏
He is currently going through our in house training programme carrying out all aspects of alloy wheel repair from diamond cutting (using a CNC lathe) to the very minor smart repair.
So…

1) What do you enjoy most about your job? a) Seeing the finished product! Every job is different.
2) What movie title would best describe your life? a) Rocky, because it’s 'wheely' up and down
3) If you could have any car, what would it be and why? a) Nissan GTR Skyline… need I say more 🚗💨
4) In your spare time, what do you enjoy doing? a) Spending time with the kids, days out and time with my beautiful wife. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
5) If you had the chance to change one thing, what would it be and why? a) my luck, as it’s not been that great...
