Spencer was a true character he was well loved, will be missed by us all but leaves a legacy here at Spencer’s bar and grill.

We used Spencer's Bar for a large family special party and can not fault the warm welcome that we received. The large conservatory was given over to us and it was ideal for he disco, dancing and party games that followed. We were more than satisfied with the buffet that was provided and thought that the drinks were very sensibly priced (some venues rip your eyes out with high bar prices).

Twelve of us decided to go back for lunch on the Sunday and whilst there wasn't a Sunday roast option, the food was of superior quality, well presented, reasonably priced and served in good time with a friendly smile. Spencer's Bar and Restraunt is an absolute gem just set off the Malton to Pickering road just on the outskirts of Pickering with beautiful lawns, leading down to a lake and wooden lodges.

We don't live that far away so we have vowed to use Spencer's on a regular basis - well worth the visit if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed!!

We stayed here Friday 6th October to Friday 13th October, stayed in one of the lovely pet friendly lodges. We ate here 5 night out of 7 and every meal has been brilliant and beer been good too.. nothing at all to complain about! Staff and owners are very friendly and welcoming. Bonus aswell FREE PUDDINGS when staying in a lodge � Definitely going to be recommending to family and friends. Well done everyone keep up the hard work �

We had our little girls Christening here yesterday, and it was absolutely perfect!!

The venue is brilliant, with space for the children to play outside and a lovely feel inside which they decorated for us with balloons and bunting which I left.

The staff were so helpful and did a fantastic job of catering to everyone's needs and were so helpful with the lead up to it answering my questions and listening to what I wanted. The food which we had (Buffet) was the best food I have ever had for a buffet, there was plenty for everyone which people could get seconds if wanted and even thirds, Everyone commented how beautiful the food was.

It really made our daughters day perfect

We always bring our caravan up to Pickering for weekends and stumbled on Spencers by mistake one day, they'd not been open very long and work was still very much on going but what a gem this place is, lovely friendly and welcoming staff, fab food and a great landlord and not forgetting Spencer the dog who my kids love. We always look forward to visiting and never been disappointed, I highly recommend Spencers bar and grill to all. Xx

This place does our family proud for events like christenings and gatherings. The place is spot on, the food is top quality and the staff are lovely.

Really good food at a very reasonable price. Friendly staff too. We’ve been a few times now with work and every time it’s been very good.

Our daughter had her wedding reception here 7/7/2018 The venue is perfect, offering outdoor space as well as indoor, children’s play area. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff. Great value, great food, great setting. What more could you want.

Lovely setting and the food was great. Really busy when we arrived but they still seated us and got our starters out quickly. Staff were great as well, friendly and helpful.

Just want to say a big thank you too all the staff at Spencers bar. My wedding day couldn't have gone any better. The staff were amazing on the day and also helping us get everything organised on the run up to the day.

Have stayed here in a hot tub lodge this weekend and have eaten here Friday,Saturday and Sunday evening.

All the meals and deserts were absolutely delicious,were plentiful and presented beautifully. All the staff were very friendly,welcoming and accommodating. We will definitely be back 🖒

Great staff very friendly! They now have gin cards! Loved the food but we did have to shout at eachother due to the music being really loud! Still a great atmosphere xx ps - sort the pool table lol xx

Excellent service. Staff are very friendly. Really homely place to visit. We were staying here in a log cabin. I think it's brilliant that you can order food at the bar to take back to the cabin and it is served on a proper plate rather than a thermal tray! Will definitely be returning. 😀

Came here on the recommendation of a friend and oh boy did it Impress. Beer and food are first class and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back.

Better late than never!! We have been coming to Spencers ever since it was first opened and we have always had great food and service. We had our wedding party here as well in June and we really couldn't fault it! It was amazing from food to service to venue! Thank you!!!! Mel and Shaun

Absolutely loved it! Chips are fantastic. Portion sizes are unreal. I had the Spencer's Double Burger which was immense. Saw a guy in there eating the Steak and Ribs combo. That was staggering! We are staying in the Thornton-Le-Dale lodge on site. Cabin is clean, tidy, well presented and the secluded hot tub is great. This lodge is ideal for couples. Cannot recommend enough. Staff on site are polite and nothing is too much for them. Will definitely be returning!
