Friday brought a whole new set of Stars of the Week, and what a wonderful range of reason they were chosen for. Photo underneath...

This week we have had a visit from the NSPCC. They took assemblies with KS1 and KS2 before doing some workshops in Y5 and Y6. The children learnt a lot from all of these sessions about where they can get help if they are feeling scared about different situations. They got a big thumbs up from the NSPCC mascot Buddy.

A couple of days late due to technical problems, but here are our first Stars Of The Week for this school year. These children have made a fantastic start, well done. They all deserved one of our lovely new certificates!

We hope everyone has had a fantastic Summer holiday and look forward to welcoming all of our pupils back on Monday. Doors open at 8.40 for a start at 8.50.

After a technical hitch (and user error- sorry) we can now bring you the Stars of the Week from last Friday. Well done to all of them. (All previous weeks are all still on the website).

A song that is a favourite with our choir - very appropriate that Michael sang it for us too.

Michael singing for us this afternoon. And just like the television performance, everybody was on their feet before the end! And we all joined in with the actions!

A super afternoon with a great ex-pupil Thanks Michael Rice for coming to see us, and to the media for broadcasting our fantastic kids, past and present. More photos and videos here and one the website when we have them.

SCHOOL OPEN MONDAY 5th MARCH We are pleased to say that we will be open again as normal on Monday and look forward to welcoming the children back at the usual time of 8.40. The weather is still not meant to be wonderful so please take care on your journey to and from school.
Once again we thank you for your support during these last few days.

Extremely well done to ex-pupil Michael Rice on winning the BBC singing competition "All Together Now". Fantastic performances now, and a photo from his first public performance, our 2007 production of Joseph.

We regret to inform everyone that after consultations with the Local Authority and the Multi-Academy Trust about the continuing serious weather warnings, the predicted disruption and the likelihood of even worse travel conditions early tomorrow morning , we have had to make the decision to be closed on Friday 2nd March.
This isn’t a decision that has been made lightly, but we have made the decision early as we want to give families as much notice as possible to make arrangem...ents.
We apologise once again for the disruption and inconvenience, however, the safety of our children, parents and staff is paramount.
We appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you.
We will be open again on Monday 5th March at the normal time and look forward to welcoming back all children and staff then.

It is with regret, that after consultation with the Local Authority we have decided to remain shut on Thursday 1st March 2018. It is imperative that we ensure the safety of all as they travel to and from school. With the weather forecast as it is we do not want to put staff, parents or pupils in danger and want to give parents as much notice as we can. We will update social media and this webpage with regards to Friday when possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Congratulations to all pupils who represented St Aidan's and Dyke House in the Hartlepool Schools TAG Rugby Finals. St Aidan's were the only school in the town to have two teams qualify for the finals. Both teams played great rugby and showed showed fantastic teamwork and determination. It was great to see so many happy faces from all the pupils taking part, unfortunately neither team qualified for the county finals. The first team missed out by just two tries after winning five of their six games. Well done to all the pupils who represented the school in such a great manner. Mr Murray was very impressed and proud of all of them. Well done everyone!πŸ‰πŸ‰πŸ‰πŸ‰πŸ‰

Harvest mass in school this afternoon. Lots of produce to give away and a great message from Mother Gemma acted out by our worship council.
