St Robert Of Newminster, Morpeth Description
The Presbytery, the priests house, is Collingwood House, on Oldgate. It was formerly the residence of Admiral Lord Cuthbert Collingwood. This house is now a Grade II * listed building with English Heritage
The Church building is listed under the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 as amended for its special architectural or historic interest. .

We offer our prayers and congratulations to Elzbieta and Jeremy who were married at St Robert’s Church today. When we processed out of Church, Morpeth Pipe Band were there to pipe them and their guests out of Church.
Mystery Solved
We have twenty young people celebrating their First Holy Communion on Saturday morning at 10am, 15th June. Please keep them in your prayers and pray for all their families too for the ongoing support they give to their children as they strive to live out their faith.

Morpeth Fair Day UPDATE: Police Officers from the Morpeth Office have intervened this week, with two telephone calls to the Presbytery, as well as speaking to many others behind the scenes, and they seem to be talking some common sense. They are making sure that the Blue Badge reference is taken off the Road Closure notices and they feel that anybody who needs to access the Church Car Park by car, because they have difficulty walking, will be allowed access. They will be pr...esent at the end of Oldgate Bridge and have informed us that they will make access available for those who need it, by escorting them to the Car Park. This seems like a very common sense approach and we wonder why this couldn't have been said in the first place. In fact this sounds remarkably like what happened last year without any fuss!! HOWEVER …. those who are in the Church Car Park for the 11am Mass will not be allowed out until the Parade of Vintage Cars and Motorbikes has passed, at approximately 12.30pm. As the Guides are having a Coffee Morning, it may be a wise move to go in the Hall for Coffee or Tea and then go home.
