granted it's a new Starbucks and there are few improvements that could be made but considering the only been open for 2 days I think the staff are very friendly they do need somebody on the dining area in order to keep on top of Table cleaning however. Open service is a little bit slow but that will speed up with practice and time, on the whole good experience keep up the good work

absolutely love this coffee shop best 1 around. Really friendly caring staff that go out their way yo get what u need and more. Keep up the good work team

We visited here yesterday with our 8 year old and 4 year old and I was completely blown away by the customer care from the employee Natalie. She was amazing with our children and even gave them a treat. Great Starbucks x

Thank you to the lovely barista who made me and my friend an extra drink to try Incase we didn't like it. The place has a great vibe and the staff are lovely! I will defiantly become a regular here

Me my partner and best friend come here ALOT the staff are good and always attentive but there is two members in particular who go way over and beyond with their customer service Beth (very young girl) extremely chatty hilariously funny good sense of humour and always remembers me and my partners drinks and make us feel special every visit and Jack (young lad) he is also on the ball and attentive....always enjoy my visits to Starbucks (practically everyday) well done and keep up the good work � �

Had a little problem earlier in this store and only rated it 1*. This is unfair as i have since found out there was a problem that can have a knock on effect in any business and i feel now knowing my criticism was unfair. Ive been to this store many times without issue. The staff member today was amazing due to the pressure she was under and would not hesitate to return.

Had 2 coffees from here, both from the drive thru, both soya hazelnut lattes and they're the best! Went to metro centre starbucks and left the same drink as it wasn't nice at all..

Fantastic friendly staff!!!! The barista was very kind friendly and smiley she was chatty and approachable and allowed us to try a coconut latte which was extremely kind! It's hard to find good customer service now a days and I felt that your staff deserve recognition!!! Thank you the coffee was really good too!!! :-)

Amazing service from Elinor - she made me my #starbuckssecretmenu order and offered me tasters of their new menu! They are a lovely team with great customer service. Love coming here to work and chill.

Always great service, the staff know my name and my drink. Always make a fuss of my daughter, offering to warm her cake or cookies. Recently Emma and the staff donated some cups etc for my role play cafe at school. The children think is great and are enjoying their cafe. Xxx

Always go here and alternate between the caramel macchiato & gingerbread latte pre nightshift (caffeine is a nurses best friend!). Drinks are always spot on and staff so friendly. Tonight we were served by a lady called Natalie, she was so pleasant with great customer service skills, a prime example that manners go a long way! Served with a smile and our coffees are spot on! Thanks Starbucks, Merry Christmas! ��❄�

After a payment confusion in which I was charged 3 times accidentally for my drinks, I returned to the Simonside store to be greeted very warmly by the staff on duty, and the issue was resolved very quickly and professionally. Being an ex-Starbucks worker myself, I understand how agitating these things can be and am very impressed with the service I have received at the Simonside store today, and must add, my complicated drinks are always made perfectly! So thank you very much guys, it's very much appreciated, and I will definitely be returning very soon :D. ** extra thanks to the supervisor/manager with the Harry Potter lanyard for brilliant service today!

This Starbucks has been sited here to take advantage of commuter traffic out of South Shields with its drive thru. This does have an impact on service inside the coffee shop, but as there are two people serving, its understandable. The staff are really good at their jobs. The food is good but overpriced, but that's Starbucks for you. The coffee, is similarly good and you get a choice of regular or guest roast.



The cafe space is well laid out. My favourite spot is the large triangular table just beside that delivery shelf. You could hold a staff meeting there! There are easy chairs and standard café tables too.

Staff are all really friendly but service is unbelievably slow. Seems to be very understaffed and they always put drive through orders first, so if two or three cars come at once you can be waiting upward of ten/fifteen minutes for your drinks. Can't fault the staff but there definitely needs to be more of them.

Unfortunately there are never enough staff in this branch. There was a new member of staff taking the orders at the til yesterday who clearly needed either more training or one to one support. The other staff were loosing patience with him and their attitude towards him was terrible. Extremely unprofessional service received and we will not be returning in a hurry.

So disappointed we came here today for a relaxing cup of coffee with our little boy. That was until a man walks in with his dog which was allowed to run around, over the seats and kept coming up to our table where we were trying to eat. My little boy is petrified of dogs, the staff didn’t do a thing about it �

Service way too slow .more interested in sweeping floors than serving customers.

Been here multiple times at the drive thru. Never managed to get served in less than 20 minutes. Only ever see 2 staff working (which have gotten my order wrong more than once). Might be worth hiring at least 1 more person to work at the same time? Doubt I'll be going back. Get served quicker at Costa.
