World class food on Chillingham Road? Why yes! Wonderful cote de boeuf for two, lovely staff too and only two minutes walk from home, think this may prove to be a bit too convenient!

We had an excellent time .. enjoyed the good food and warmth provided . We recommend this lively place for all who would love good food to share the care & warmth for each other.

Tried this place for the first time and it is really lovely. The staff are friendly and make you feel at home right away. Coffee was amazing, had to have 2 cups. Breakfast slightly pricey, I think it was around £9 for a full english however would still recommend it.

This is one of the nicest places to go to eat or just for a coffee. We have been here several time's now. It is immaculately clean including the loo (always the first thing we look for). The food is amazing and very original with something for everyone's taste and the coffee is to die for. The people who run it (it's a small family business) are so nice, friendly and attentive they make you feel so comfortable and at home. The prices are also very reasonable. I would recommend everyone visits this place as its a Gem of a find. You will not be disappointed and when you've been once I bet you will go back many time's. Great place. The Mr and I shuffled in with very fuzzy heads this morning and all was made better by our top notch brunch. The ingredients were obviously lovingly sourced and cooked perfectly. Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere, we will definitely be back!

Starks is currently the best restaurant in Newcastle. It's clear the chef has passion for food. The venison was pink, succulent and the complimentary clementine was exquisite. The chocolate and nut loaf washed down with desert wine. Amazing. And the best bit is how welcome the whole family make you feel. Thank you for another great night.�

I went to Starks for brunch at the weekend ,fantastic! I had salt beef hash ,big chunks of tender beef ,soft flavoursome potatoes, onions and creme fraiche topping ,delicious. My partner had a more traditional English breakfast with poached eggs .He isn't a black pudding fan but this black pudding was not like any other he'd ever tried .He scoffed the lot .We couldn't eat another thing all day . I will definitely be back to try the evening menu and drink more of that mellow more-ish coffee . Seriously if you haven't been you should have .Fab food and amazing,enthusiastic staff .
