WOW.. sampled the cod& chips in the restaurant upstairs for the first time today. 5* plus service& food anddddd lurpak butter too. What more can u ask for, for only 5.50.... oh yes cup of tea& gravy. I’ll definitely be back in a hurry �� � �

Recently refurbished to a very high standard, not your normal fish and chip take-away! This shop is a credit to Crook town...a must visit if you love fish and chips! Best of luck for the future from Queenies , Q tan and Beauty Queen.

Me and my partner won the competition Stephenson’s Market Plaice held before their opening so we decided to pick it up and take out the next day. Can not fault them at all, the fish and chips are to die for and are still so traditional. The staff are lovely! Lauren is definitely an asset to the team. She had a que building up and worked so quickly yet still so friendly! We’ll definitely be back �

Lovely, welcoming, clean restaurant. Food was delicious and the young lad that served us was very professional and polite(wish I’d had some change to give him a tip, will double it next time) Kids meal was very good too, definitely best in Crook.

Just had gluten free and normal fish and chips.. absolutely delicious.. thank you.xx

Just been in to get my fish and chips for good Friday and you have done a wonderful job in the renovations can’t wait for the restaurant part upstairs to open and will be their to see.

I am a long time user of Stephenson's Market Plaice Fish & Chips takeaway, but have waited a long time for a Fish Restaurant to open in Crook. Up to now I have used Clem's both at Bishop Auckland and Spennymoor.

However today Stephenson's opened their Restaurant at their newly refurnished premises and I was not disappointed. The Restaurant situated on the first floor is immaculately clean, spacious and comfortable, currently having seating for 28 and I love the leather sofa which runs the full length of one wall with cushions. My quality and affordable meal was fully up to expectations and there is Menu to suit all tastes as well as a good range of beers, lagers and wines. The staff were friendly and attentive and I felt that I was in a silver service premises. This is now my future Fish Restaurant.

Been today, the place is looking fantastic. Fish and chips spot on as always!

Amazing choice of food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks all so reasonable priced, deco is lovely very fresh and comfortable, staff are very professional and friendly! Xx

Always use this chippy and o er the moon they now have a restaurant. Tried it out last week, service was great, very tastefully decorated and the fish and chips were beautiful. First of many visits to the restaurant.
