Stevie Outdoors - Northern Wilderness Uk Description

Northern Wilderness Bushcraft School is set in the heart of the beautiful County Durham countryside, The school is based at the the Finchale Abbey holiday touring park and eco village within 2 miles of river and woodland.

The park lies within a meander of the River Wear and overlooks the ruins of a Benedictine Priory.

Only 4 miles out of Durham and not too far from Newcastle and Sunderland. Finchale Abbey Bushcraft School in Durham is a small but close school ran by David Allen and Steve Taylor.

The school was set up in 2012 but the trainers have over 25 years of survival and bushcraft experience. Our courses take place in the heart of a mixed woodland that we keep a close secrete and our base camp backs on to the River Wear. The site is a private 2 mile of woodland open wild flower land with headgerows and medows.

The Northern Wilderness Bushcraft School has everything you need for a bushcrafter with wild animals such as badger, dear, foxes and owls a variety of fish from prime Salmon, Sea trout, Brown trout. The site overlooks sand stone cliffs carved out by the River Wear and lush mixed woodland its our little piece of northern wilderness.

I have a new YouTube channel guys called Exploring Paranormal With Stevie. Why not head over and subscribe, I have lots of new content planned and I want some of you guys to come to one off and abandoned locations for wild camps, exploring abandoned military base with me, if you dare that is, or you can sit back and just check out my YouTube and what I get up to from the safety of your own home. 😁
I also have new bushcraft videos up soon on my normal channel. πŸ‘

So at the moment I am on the road, travelling around the UK and living in my van, finding spots to film at and I have just got permission for a woodland in Cornwall which I am checking out in the coming days but I have been filming some costal survival stuff but it's quite tragic how dead our coast line is and even the most remote locations I am finding so much plastic and rubbish..
So I hope to have some new content up soon on YouTube, some woodland, moorland and ocean based adventures.
Also I am up for any collaborations, so if your in Cornwall where I will be based till October let me know.. πŸ€™

Now I don't normally do videos where I hardly talk and focus more on the camera work and all the stuff but I made this video a few month back and it's hit very strong and I would love some feedback from you guys but be kind haha 😁.
I would also like to know what style of YouTube videos you like best? My biggest complaint I get is that I talk to much πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ or too fast. Would you guys like more videos like this?
Cheers Stevie 🍻

As many of you guys who know me know that I had a very hard fight when I was given 24 month to change my life or not make a doner list and die..
This was due to diabetes type 2, through a lack of education, bad diet and a heavy workload I ended up at 23.13 stone in Wight, as you can see on the left of the photo.
I knew what I needed to do something to save my life and that was get the weight gone, and try and reverse my diabetes.
... This was one of the factors in Northern Wilderness stopping the courses as I had to drop my work load, lower my stress levels and blood pressure and fight one of the hardest fights of my life.
I quite all my work and accepted been skint vs having money and dying young.
I was so fat I could not run but I knew I had to lose weight so I decided that swimming was going to be my workout plan along with bushcraft, axe work etc and after two years of fighting I managed to not only lose 10 stone in weight but I reversed my diabetes, heart disease, kidney and liver failure and I did nit need a doner.
It was one night I was wild camping, I lost the feeling in my foot and then they discovered my blood sugar was 29mlg which is close to coma territory, I was rushed to hospital and have cannulas in my arms, the issue with my foot was that the diabetes was killing of my nerves and my failing pancreas was taking insulin from my lifer and it was killing me.
I was so shocked that I had to change, diabetes is a real killer but I like many before me kicked it's ass..
Now I am back for round 2. I no longer have diabetes but I have started putting the weight back on like many of us do at winter.
So I am going to swim 22 miles the length of the English channel for diabetes UK and kick diabetes ass again...
If any of you can donate to my challenge that would be amazing and remember nothing is impossible if you put positivity and your mind and body into it then you can do it to.
I know many of you do suffer from diabetes type two and you don't have to, I am medicine free, diabetes free and live life 6 years after I should of died.
Here is my just giving page.
Thanks guys Stevie

Half Polish Lavvu shelter, Eagle products camping kettle with a Karrimor Sabre 45 backpack and the Hultafors Trekking Axe are a few of my most favourite items to take to the woods. What's your most favourite bit of bushcraft kit?

User

So I spent the entire day from 7am in the woods filming back to back content for YouTube, such as one off things, like slicing myself on a mora that came un- sheathed in my bag, then a slip with an axe, some nice wild deer shots.
I was lucky enough to be chased to the woods with a Christmas gift, all wrapped up and I done an unboxing of the 1.5ltr Eagle Products campfire kettle under a old pine tree, found natural cordage, done camp craft.. Just loads but when I got home my SD was corrupt..
I was gutted.. Lost everything.. Well apart from a few photos from today, so gutted.. :(

Light weight is cool but it will never be stainless steal billy can cool. ;)
Do you care what others think when it comes to light weight kit? It's all the rage but sometimes I just don't care how heavy an item is, if I like it and I can carry it I will use it... ✌️

One of my all time favourite, low cost but quility axes. Its the Hultafors Trekking Axe and it cost me Β£22 and still my most favourite axe. Do you guys have a tool you love??
