Easier to make chai at home with Tea Sutra chai blends or Christmas chai with Christmas tea. (I made it with no sugar, put some coconut sugar instead😻)And White elephant teapots are back on our shelf. Adopt him or her for this Christmas 🎄

chilled friendly efficient staff and comfy seating or table n chairs. Excellent normal to unusual teas in lovely tea pots with little timers so brewed to perfection. Not a vast amount of savoury food but what they have is gorgeous especially falafel salad yum. Home made cakes too. Looking forward to next time.

Went here yesterday as part of vegan restaurant week First visit but definitely not the last Fantastic choice of teas, tasty interesting vegan food and happy, helpful staff. My friend and I spent a relaxed afternoon having a proper English tea!Thank you guys

User

Undoubtedly my favourite tea spot in Newcastle. A chilled, theraputic like atmosphere that is bolstered by the wonderful mats which make zoning out an easy process. Staff are always friendly and will give you recommendations if you're looking for something specific or just halving an indecisive moment. The tea being top quality helps too.

This sweet little tea house is a real gem! I'm checking it out for some veggie friends before we go to Scotland v Samoa Rugby

So nice to find a real tea restaurant as I was brought up in Glasgow that had magnificent tea houses!

Great ambience, delicious teas, excellent range of food including Mexican & Lebanese :-)

User

So good! I for one built a nest and didn't want to leave. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. Be sure to check I've not eloped into your Cupboards! Really want one of those elephant fusion's too. Great place to nest, drink tea and unwind.

User

One of my favourite places in Newcastle to have a cosy chillout catch-up with a friend. Many cafes lack comfy cushions, soothing music and a soft seat. Love the gluten free options, and how fresh/tasty the food is. Customer service is great too.

User

My favourite place to drink teas (theres so much choice!), relax, be happy, meet friends and be surrounded by an ambience you can't get anywhere else. Is the best place in town for me ;) you have to try the chai of the day, absolutely delicious!

User

Love love love this place. Beautiful people, chilled out vibe and amazing chai. The chill seated area is fab, I spent many years teaching yoga in India lovely to reconnect.

Thank you for this place, very special.

Will definitely be back.

User

I think i have found my new favourite haunt! The selection of teas are amazing. And the vegan food is beautiful. I have craved panna cotta since going vegan and i could have it here. I will be back :)

User

I really love that place. I go there when I fancy a tasty cup of tea.

User

I love this place ! Peace , love and serenity .. with amazing teas . Tea Sutra is a quiet stop off in the busy city . It really calms my body and soul . Thankyou for this creation x

User

I love Tea Sutra. I think the owners have created a totally unique and niche venue/service/products. When I'm in this cafe I feel as though I could be in the far east, with no cares in the world, and the madness of traffic and shoppers melts away in this peaceful and special place. The food, whilst limited, is excellent. They should serve the salad as an option alone as it is so tasty! The range of teas and interesting delicious cakes and sugar free hand-made chocolates are delicious. I wish more people knew about this place so there would be no threat of it closing!! I need Tea Sutra to exist. IT is more than a cafe, it is a community, connections, quiet, escape, non commercial, and the waiting staff will leave you in peace but also get to you amongst their many jobs. I like it that way- it's not a robot run business, it's very very human. Bravo. I hope it will be here for many many more years.

User

I look forward to the odd day that I work the RVI as I get to pop in here after to unwind. Baffles me how they can make gluten free/sugar free/dairy free cakes so good. Hope they do the mushroom and garlic wraps again soon - that was super tasty. I love the orange and eucalyptus and chocolate orange rooibos teas. Gutted the spiced one has gone off the menu as I never got to try it.

User

I had my first tea sutra experience yesterday! I've absolutely fallen in love with this place , the staff were lovely, the chai tea was amazing! The atmosphere in general and the music was so calming! My new favourite place in Newcastle!

User

Everytime I go there, I take a new friend, and they are always surprised how great the place is, and that even such a place existed. Fantastic tea done in the tradional way, very knowledgeable, friendly staff, great food including the cakes. I just love the atmosphere looking forward to my next visit

User

Consistently fabulous vegan food, and the tea, oh the tea, don't get me started! So much choice, I love the oolong teas, but you go visit and let everyone know your favourites :-) x

User

Best place in Newcastle (and, probably, the northeast) for fine teas from around the world.

User

Awesome place! You can take off your shoes and enjoy a cup of excellent tea!! Lunch time is also highly recommended!!

User

A calming, ambient retreat with a stunning selection of teas from around the world. The selection may seem daunting to any beginner (as I was when I first walked through the door) but after speaking to the owners you realize how friendly and informative they are. They are always welcoming and love to answer your question's. You can tell they are in this for love of tea, and are more than happy to help you learn as you experience all the teas on offer. They are also happy to let you try teas in order to discern your palette. So you don't have to worry about buying tea you might not like.
