Situated on North Bailey in the most historic part of Durham, within sight of Durham Cathedral, entering the Assembly Rooms Theatre is like stepping into a another world. Furnished in red velvet with a ceiling to rival the night sky, the Assembly Rooms is an oasis of creativity in the heart of Durham.

The Assembly Rooms Theatre is host to DST - our resident theatre company, who have a regular programme of weekly productions from October-December, January-March and April-June. DST shows run Thursday-Saturday, often with a matinee performance on Saturday.

On Sundays and throughout the Easter and Summer univeristy vacations, the Assembly Rooms Theatre is host to a range of local and national productions and touring shows.
