About The Beehive
Country pub
The Beehive Description
Combining traditional ale brands, multi-award winning chefs and modern thinking, the Beehive Inn of Earsdon is under new management and is ready to become your new favourite local.
In view of St. Mary's Island and the golden Longsands of Whitley Bay, whether it's a lazy Sunday lunch, a quick drink after work in the pub's one acre secret garden, or watching the match with friends, The Beehive has it covered.
Running alongside its brand new and extensive range of high-quality, no-nonsense pub grub, the Beehive will now offer throughout the year a feast of live entertainment; including regular comedy nights and music events, featuring some of the region's hottest emerging talent.
The pub is located between the villages of Eardson and Hartley on the border of North Tyneside and Northumberland.
The Grade II-listed building was built in the 18th Century and became an inn in 1896 and despite it's recent refurbishment, the pub still maintains its old charm and character.
The ancient low wooden beamed ceilings have survived the recent overhaul along with its charming snug dining areas and quaint atmosphere.
If you're tired of the uniformity of faceless chain pubs, and want a unique, traditional experience, the new Beehive Inn of Earsdon won't let you down.

Wonderful place. Loved every bit of the place. The chicken sandwich was fabulous!
We literally would not go past the Beehive for Sunday lunch. Great food and warm friendly service 5 οΏ½
Visited today (on good Friday for the first time ever. Talk.about going the extra mile!!! I looked.at the menu and was a bit unsure what to have due to my fat intolerance so i asked of they could make a salad and it was served with smoked cod. Absolutely fab!!! Thank you for delivering what was not on the menu x
Visited on bonfire night, we both had Sunday lunch and it was delicious. The puddings were extremely good too, a good choice to choose from. Well looked after by the staff, it was a very busy night for them but were friendly and keen to get us a table. Will definitely be going back in the future. A great find. If you like good traditional tasty food you must call in.
This was my first time visiting tonight and I was not disappointed. Staff were super friendly and attentive including the owner which isnβt something you often come across. The food was outstanding, I only wish I could have finished it all!
I will 100% be back
This place never ceases to up the standards! Lovely, welcoming and attentive staff, absolutely amazing food (I had the beef brisket and my fiancΓ©e the steak and ale pie), which were absolutely delicious! The setting is quaint and cosy and makes it all worthwhile on a cold winters day! Love it!
Popped in on way back from the coast with the 2 dogs, my wife & 1 sat outside, we both had the steak pie & chips with a pint to wash it down, good as ever. The 2 dogs had a venison sausage each. Highly recommend this pub.
Popped in for a pint and a snack. Food was lovely, pint was nice and the staff were very friendly! I used the mens toilet and it was very clean and pleasant, and my wife changed our toddler in the ladies, where there was a baby change facility. She said it was immaculate and was very happy about it! Lovely place.
Perfect in every sense of the word. The service, atmosphere, decor, music, real wood fire, parking, location all bob on. The food was impeccable. Couldn't fault one thing. One of the best meals we've ever had and we've had a lot! Prawn cocktail starter with warm union bread and impeccable rib eye with home made chips and the best peppercorn sauce. What a fine establishment. The owners and staff should be very proud of themselves.
Lovely food, friendly staff and a special room for dog owners and their dogs to have a meal. Really good
Love it everything about it! Perfect little place
Even booked up for another trip soon and hoping to get in on Boxing Day! Food was amazing must recommend it to anyone who loves a country pub
Just had Sunday lunch here and it was amazing. Everything was nice and fresh and hot! I will definitely be coming back for food, I'll be a regular now! οΏ½ one thing for customers try and book a table as we didn't and had to wait for one but my god it was worth the wait.
Had the sharing platter and it was beautiful sat in the beer garden π·π·π·π
Had Sunday lunch there yesterday. Lovely pub, relaxed atmosphere. Didn't feel hurried to finish meal. Food spot on.
Nice to visit a dog friendly pub too. Will be back, no doubt.
First visit to this place for ages, it did come recommended and we were not disappointed with the experience at all. The staff were very friendly and the food very good. Probably the best fish and chips Iβve had for a long long time. Will deffo be visiting again.
Fab food service and location. Never lets you down and we can walk there from our house over the fields too so added bonus
Love the secret garden
I liked it..from a distance.
Pub looks great, but outdoor piped music?!
In this lovely countryside?
No thanks.
As a regular diner here - food great but if you pop in for a pint, and they are busy you will have to down your Β£4+ pint in the entrance hall outside the toilets. Preference given to diners.
A little expensive but well worth it we think ...food was very good
