Dan has exhibited widely throughout the UK since graduating with a degree in Fine Art from Leeds Beckett University in 2001, including twice within the prestigious BP Portrait Prize. His colourful paintings and murals are a meeting of ‘street’ and ‘studio’, a reflection upon British identity and a rebellion against societal rules of old.

Preferring to work directly from life Lara is able to respond intuitively to her surroundings. Most recently Lara has worked from museum collections featuring animals and objects of curiosity. Lara has travelled extensively in search for similar subjects, however closer to home she has found Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow, the D’arcy Thompson’s Zoology Museum in Dundee and St. A...ndrews Bell Pettigrew Museum to be rich sources of material.

Join us on Saturday 4 August for a Colourful Composition Enamel Jewellery Workshop with Rachel Butlin - Contemporary Designer Maker.
You will learn the process of enamelling, from application to firing, to create a range of colourful pieces on copper. You will translate these samples using stitch, pegging and riveting techniques into either a pair of earrings or a pendant, incorporating beautiful tactile materials.

We won a table for our staff night out here on Saturday.

With a mix of ages and interests it's often hard to find something every one will enjoy but each and everyone of our guests had a brilliant time.

We hope to return again next year.

We were here for the film festival.

After being received with wine and canapès we perused the excellent artwork before Urban And The Shed Crew began.

A delightful evening.

We went for a late lunch yesterday and found that the cafe had been renovated and extended. It was lovely and clean and spacious and we chose the humous platter....delicious. We enjoyed looking at some beautiful artwork. Just wish we had money to buy and somewhere special to display it. Definitely worth another visit.

We (husband and me) did the Zoe Robinson wire sculpture workshop. Great fun. Had no experience of doing this before at all, neither did the rest and ended up with a large puffin in the making and a little jenny wren. Determined to finish them at home and perhaps even try some other subjects. Ended up buying from the gallery as well, hard not to!

Visited yesterday had a lovely lunch in the factory kitchen who were spot on helping with my gluten free needs. Fabulous art to admire and be tempted by - a great place to spend a few hours! Will definitely be returning...

Very worthwhile visit. Some great art by contemporary artists. Still Life never really appealed to me but the work of Raquel Alvarez Sardina is incredible. Also very impressed with Ian Mitchell's work and blown away by a coastal seascape by Ivan Lindsay.

If I can save enough money I may just go back to buy it.

Really enjoyed our visit, fabulous art work, beautiful building and a lovely place for adults and children to spend a relaxing couple of hours.

Only my second visit but I'll be back again very soon. The café staff upstairs were fantastic as they put together a nice lunch for me, working with my numerous food allergies (no complaints or rolling eyes either!). Then I purchased a couple of things downstairs in the gallery/shop and the staff member was more than happy to open up the cases to let us have a look; she didn't rush or pressure us, in fact it was perfect customer service. I believe her name was Sasha (thanks!). Just a fantastic collection of work and I've discovered a new local artist whose work is incredible. All in all, a wonderful visit!

Its more of a shop than an art gallery, but that's no bad thing in my eyes as its packed full of creative things that most people would like in their homes. Definitely worth popping in

I was an attendant to the mlb, but felt like I needed to leave a review just to say how great a night I've had! The bar staff were particularly lovely with major love to 'Danny' for generally being a lovely bloke and awesome barman! :)

Fabulous place to have lunch with friends, made even better with the new roof terrace. Food as always, delicious. Love it 😍

As both a customer and an exhibitor, this place is always a pleasure. A huge array of style and genre in many different art techniques and with a fabulous cafe, it tops off a fabulous visit time after time.

This summer show is worth a visit a great mix of traditional and contemporary. . With some fabulous modern art , makes refreshing change, overall for me personally a great mix summer show.. congratulations The Biscuit Factory.
