About The Clarendon - The Middle House, Marske

A Family run, traditional one room establishment serving traditional cask ales and craft beers.

The Clarendon - The Middle House, Marske Description

The middle house, as it is known, is a family-run, one-room locals' pub with interesting photographs of Marske through the ages around the walls. It serves five regular beers plus a guest from a mahogany island bar, which is a rarity in this area. There is no TV, no jukebox, no pool table, no children /teenagers - just the locals indulging in convivial conversation. Occasional live music. There is no catering either as such, but tea and coffee are available, together with excellent home-made scones at lunchtimes, while a substantial finger buffet is provided on Tuesday evenings. It has a pleasant south-facing outdoor drinking area and ample car parking spaces.

Good morning you lovely people of Marske and what a grand day it is too. One of our regulars aired his concerns last night, he'd heard a rumour we were closing down, let me say most assuredly we are definitely not calling time on our lovely friendly pub. Come and see us, try our real ales (we are once again featured in the CAMRA real ale list) and our selection of craft Gins and numerous other craft ales.
