first time visiting today with my wife and daughter, it was fairly empty when we arrived and we opted for the carvery.to be honest the food was terrible and tasted like it had been stood all day, the meat, veg and yorkshires were all dried out and tasteless, we left our food.HOWEVER,,,the waitress came over and could see we were not impressed her customer service was EXCELLENT !!! she took our plates and returned with a full refund and apologized for the food,,because of this we stayed, ordered more drinks and decided to try the deserts ,,soooo glad we did because the red velvet cheesecake was unreal,,i did not get the waitresses name but she is the reason we are giving 5 stars but to be fair once the pub started to get busy all the carvery food started to come out fresh so maybe we just stumbled in at the wrong time

Went to the Dancing Betty today for a Carvery, didn't book a table but got seated straight away. A large selection of food in the menu not mentioning the deserts пҝҪ.



The atmosphere was great and the staff are brilliant.

Went here for a birthday meal with family for my 50th which was 12/3/18 it was a surprise was an amazing night my niece made a birthday cake for me and the staff brought it out and sang happy birthday it was a night I Will never forget iv got photos but don't know how to put them on been to the dancing betty a few times the food is always lush and the staff are amazing

We went today for lunch we explained that my daughter is autistic and could we have a quiet table the staff found one but my daughter didn't like it so found us another one but she still couldn't stand the noise so we didn't stay but the staff were fantastic the way they handled the situation thankyou so much

My wife and daughter took me for lunch yesterday

I am disabled and was pleased the chair I had had arms as I need assistance to sit upright. A parking space near to the door helped, as usually I need a wheelchair over a certain distance. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. I canвҖҷt wait to visit again. Thank you,

Me and my sister went for lunch. We walked in and found a table straight away right near the window we had the cavery. The food was excellent I had beef it was cooked just how I like it. My sister had the turkey and gammon and again she enjoyed it. The rest of the food was tasty and cooked well. The service was excellent, we had the pigs in blankets with our lunch, we had to wait for them to be delivered to our table, we didnвҖҷt have to wait to long after sitting down at the table with our dinners, they were done to perfection. I would definitely go back.

I have just eaten the best sirloin steak ever, it was cooked to perfection. Diane was the chef tonight and one of our servers was Char who was also lovely and very attentive, thank you. I will be back xx

Great food and value for money as was a family get together was 9 of us and was expecting it to be over a ВЈ100 with some of us haveing a starter but it was less than a ВЈ100 would recommend it

Came here last night for date night with my other half, had the steak and wine for ВЈ20, food was beautiful and the steak was cooked to perfection, could not fault the place or the amazing staff, had a waitress called Leanne O who I could not fault, really looked after us, going back next week with the other half and his parents after telling them how much of an amazing night we had, xx

Popped in for lunch today and was immediately found a table. 2 of my party had the carvery and it looked/tasted great. I had the fish finger sandwich which was disappointing. Fish fingers were of the frozen variety which really spoiled it, would have been much nicer homemade. Nice atmosphere, good range of drinks and attentive staff.

Think I am giving 3* as I am quite easy to please but the food here was very mediocre. I had carvery which was very dried up with frozen roasties and what tasted like smash potato, paid the extra ВЈ1 for the pigs in blankets but wish I hadnвҖҷt bothered - over cooked, it could definitely be improved upon. My husband had the fish & chips with a side of beer bartered onion rings... well obviously you expect it all to be fried but honestly not much taste left as it was all far too crispy and over fried even the chips! On to dessert, I had the caramel & pecan brownie this wasnвҖҷt bad to be honest, not quite warm enough for me but definitely better than the carvery. Hubby had the yorkie cheesecake thingy and in his words... well I think theyвҖҷve just been to the carvery and got me a pudding and whacked some cream in as it wasnвҖҷt good at all not very cheese cakey! Definitely donвҖҷt think weвҖҷll return better off saving ya money and popping across to McDonalds пҝҪ

Five of us visited here ordered carveries when my mother cut the Yorkshire pudding open it was full of white powder. We got the waitress over who to be honest needed some training in customer service, she asked what we wanted doing about it here's a clue take the food back. We told her to inform the manager who then just looked over not really fussed. We ended up with no apology or even an acknowledgement got to be honest won t be going back. Food is nt nice enough for the price you pay.

The food was nice but the service from staff in here is the worst I have ever seen. There is roughly 5 familyвҖҷs in here at present and the customer service is nothing more than appalling. There is 3 staff on a break at once while 1 member is serving behind the bar and serving food.. we have just waited 10 minutes for a bowl of custard. IвҖҷve never known anything like it before. If they hire new staff or give staff a kick up the back side then I will return as the food was decent.

Ok meal for 4 until desserts..... Paid for and told 10 mins later no Apple pie. Asked to pick something else but it was ВЈ2 extra. To which manager refused, not even as gesture of good will. Don't take pay for food you don't have.. bad customer service! Ordered roly poly instead which was rank.

My experience wasnвҖҷt that good down the dancing Betty just because I forgot my ID and I got my Mam to send a photo off my passport I got harassed as my friends where sat with drinks and I wasnвҖҷt allowed any although IвҖҷm twenty if the saw the photo as they wouldnвҖҷt check they would see it was me and it wasnвҖҷt a fraud ID. It felt like we were targeted manager kept repeatiy coming over and asking me for ID I explained the situation they told me they need physical ID on me. Then told me I wouldnвҖҷt be allowed to drink. My friends bought some alcoholic drinks and because my friend got some vodka and coke and I had two PepsiвҖҷs in front of me. Then manager came over once my friend finished the vodka and coke and asked me which one IвҖҷve tipped it into and tried to make a scene my boyfriend then had to put in and say that his friend drank the drink before going outside for a tab. It made us all feel embarrassed and no one else was getting treat like that. IвҖҷm twenty not seventeen I would understand if I was underage and not getting treat like an adult but IвҖҷm over eighteen and getting treat like a kid.

My aunty booked a table for 10 here last week for my grandmas 82nd birthday. Called the pub and was told that they would reserve a table. She attempted several times to call this morning to check the booking and no one answered. Showed up this afternoon to be told they havenвҖҷt reserved a table and were unaware of any booking! Very disappointed and made out as if my aunty hadnвҖҷt made a booking at all! Shocking!
