the bull is a cracker of a gig venue .cosy and friendly .ran by two people who love the music of the genre they put on .my shit shift pattern doesnt allow for all the gigs so we have to be selective .look forward to our next visit

Lovely place, my one concern is that Shev has a teeny tiddler, other than that faultless.

Just returned from a great weekend spent as guests of Maz and Shev, great friendly atmosphere, brilliant music and scrumptious Sunday lunch, a massive thankyou you you both from sammy and I keep up the good work definitely be back very soon.

Invited by Vince Ripper and the Rodent show to photograph them. Really enjoyed myself. Great atmosphere, great alt crowd and lovely staff. I intend coming back.

Great pub, also great clientele who make you more than welcome, as for entertainment, what can i say, seen some great bands there, all in all if you want a brilliant night out get yourselves along

First time in the Black Bull and certainly won't be my last,great place for gigs,small and friendly and very reasonable prices.

Excellent pub, great beers, cracking music room at the back with very friendly staff and manager. Faultless.

Brilliant pub and music venue. Maz and Shev are lovely people and the place has an amazing, friendly atmosphere. If you're in a band, you SHOULD play here. If you love great pubs and great music, you SHOULD drink here!

Best pub on the planet .Maz n shev are bloody lovely...the locals are the best ...the bands who play are all amazing and I'm proud to call em my friends....love em all...xxx

Been meaning to try these Sunday dinners in a while just been with my son and I have to say I will definitely be going again, very nice indeed �

Been coming hear too see great bands in this interesting pub and venue. Reasonable priced drinks.. And good surroundings.. Maz and Shev are nice owners and hosts.. Up can stay above the pub for 30 quid a nite.. Just a great pub and gig.. Highly recommended

Awesome bar, lovely people and cracking jukebox - but don't ask for garlic bread or the lobster, you will get a pleasant surprise ;)

Always have a good time here. Whether its band night or just chilling. My children also love it, they always want to go to the pub with the skelton on the ceiling and to hear the music that dad listens too.

A great 'punked up pub' a great place for gigs.

I've told a lot of bands (mainly from down south) about this place, it's great.

There is also a dog and a parrot !
