Loved it, far scarier than York Dungeons! Took my ten year old, although it 'creeped him out' he still enjoyed it. A short bit of fun and is probably the best fiver I've spent all summer!

User

I went to Whitby for the first time today, and I loved it. This was the first place that I went to. Overall, it was great, it just scared me at the end

User

Hilarious! My 12yr old daughter & I went in, screamed & laughed so much! The story part is a bit rubbish but the adrenaline boost when Dracula came right up to our faces was well worth the £3/£2.50 entrance fee!

User

For the first time I was in Whitby and visited this place that really screams like Dracula's castle ... I recommend...

User

Very good. Went to Whitby for the first time today and this was the first place I went to. I was quite exited as I like things to do with vampires. Found it really interesting until a guy jumped out at me up the stairs, It scared the life out of made me jumpy for the rest of the day haha. Well worth it though

User

Perfect tacky seaside fun, worth the £3! I screamed and laughed the whole way round.

My only complaint is that I was on crutches and there was no warning about the steps; bit of a 'mare in the pitch black.

User

Not bad at all! £3 to get in each. I went yesterday with my girlfriend and we both enjoyed it. She loves Dracula so she had a ball! Could do with more jumpy out things but that's not for everyone anyway! but.. overall worth a visit!

User

Everyone enjoyed 3 boys aged 7, 11, and 13 and they were all scared ! Think the reviews are ridiculous of cause it's going to be dark ! Could do with more actors but overall we enjoyed the experience.

User

Enjoyed it! It was short so wish it would be longer but overall was fun and spooky! Definitely worth a try!

User

Definitely one to file under the 'so bad its good' category! On a par with the infamous Louis Tussauds House of Wax! After reading numerous scathing reviews for this attraction, I decided to experience it myself...

The front of the building looks great - there's loads of Dracula trinkets and Christopher Lee's cape from the later movies. Once inside you're spoilt to a series of fairly tame scenes with moving dummies and an audio guide that provides a vague link to the different parts.

I genuinely thought the place had a bit of seaside charm and was much better than I was expecting. Some of the animatronic effects were actually pretty good and the live actor gave me a fright with a well timed bang!

It's a must-do when in Whitby given the towns Dracula connection. £3 was plenty but it's the cost of a coffee One bit of advice I'd give is don't rush through. I really took my time and listened to every last bit of audio and checked every last detail. Spooktacularly tacky fun!

User

Cheesy but good, if you like Dracula then worth a visit with it only being £3 each, I think the animatronics etc were abit dated but all the same can't grumble at the price

User

Visited the other day,,,,and prior to that think I went in around 1999/2000. Price is pretty decent.

I must admit, I was a little scared when I saw an actor lurking around in a mask,,,once I established it was a human and not a robot-thing, I asked him 'Is it this way now?'

Place needs a bloody good hoover through. Although you're trying to recreate Victorian England and Transylvania,,,there's no excuse for poor deep-red carpet husbandry LOL

User

It's a bit of seaside fun :) don't expect the world for £3 entry, take your time and enjoy the story!

User

A must if you are a fan of Bram Stokers Dracula...otherwise you'll be left flat and deflated by the "experience". The whole place is very dark, leaving guests stumbling and feeling around. The voice over of the story is a nice touch

User

£9 for a family visit today. Walked though entire experience in roughly two minutes and ended up down some stairs out the back door.

We have never laughed so much.

I’m sure some people will like it but it literally did nothing for me and my family.

Terrible animatronics and dated sound and lighting.

My be better with Live actors, but none available today.

User

While we was in Whitby had to try it wish we hadn't bothered we had to look were we was going it was that dark then some idiot in a mask jumped out in front of us it only lasted about five minutes waste of time don't waste your money

User

Went in expecting live actors and some fun. All we got was strobe lighting;some models and darkness with no live actors. Were in and out within 5 minutes. Even the two guys in front of us were asking;is that it? when we reached the exit.

User

Rubbish, the whole 'experience' if you could call it that lasted about 5 minutes. Effects were not that good, don't know why they mentioned an actor because the only thing I recall is them swishing past someone, safe to say won't be doing it again.

User

Really disappointing, was not what we expected as thought it would be more about Dracula and the link to Whitby. Not just a dark room trying to frighten people , which really didn't work. They could have had a much better set up too.
