Visited the falcon tonight with my family of 3 boys, my middle son chose a carvery and upon choosing his meat he opted for all 3!

The chef gave him these and asked if he was going to eat it all with a ha yeah from my son the chef gave him a larger plate...

My son cleared his plate and had room for desert also!

So thank you for the challenge, and for a wonderful evening!

And a big thank you to the three girls on duty on Wednesday evening, Norah, Anya and Sophie

Me and the wife have just finished our food and as far as pub food goes it was amazing! Biggest onion rings I’ve ever seen �

Me and my family came to the falcon last night (6th march) for my wife's 50th birthday meal and we had a great time as we always do the food was spot on as always.

I would like to say a massive thank you to one of the waitresses called holly (sorry i didn't get a last name) for going above and beyond to help me when my hip locked while i was going up the steps back to my table after i got my carvery so thank you holly ur a little good'un x

Just had a fantastic carvery here this evening. The food was beautiful, I had beef and it was cooked to perfection. Lovely presentation, very pleasant staff. Will certainly be back for more!

I had arrived from Australia and was meeting with my family for a catch up, got there about 3.00pm a member of your staff was very abrupt and not very friendly. Thank goodness I have been there before . Which I enjoyed. Even one of my cousins said that’s not good

Great food well priced and excellent service from staff highly recommend a visit you wont be disappointed also live music on Sunday afternoons was very entertaining

Fantastic fathers day carvery at the falcon. Great portion of meat on the carvery and they were kind in catering for my very fussy toddler. Will definitely be back

Booked a table for 8 on Easter Sunday and was very impressed with the cavery. Meat was tasty and perfectly cooked, great selection of vegetables and fresh. Staff were very good. Will certainly be returning soon!!

Beautiful carvery today with my dad , food was delicious, enjoyed dessert with 2 spoons , big shout out to Martin on the carvery counter , nice manner and attitude towards the customers , good job , definitely recommend this place

Generally, the food and service are great. Once or twice the peppercorn sauce on the chicken dish has been far too hot. Steak night is excellent value. £25 for 2 to have a starter/main or main/dessert and a bottle of wine!! Champion.

We went to the Falcon again for Christmas Day lunch. This was our fourth consecutive year. Overall I have no complaints about the food - other than the dessert could have been a bit hotter - but the service this year was nowhere near as good as it has been previously. In the past we’ve been seated in the main restaurant area but this time we were through the bar area. I’ve never noticed tables through there before and wonder if they’d been added in order to take in more bookings? Anyway, service was very slow, it was difficult getting through a full bar carrying plates of food and our waitress clearly didn’t want to be there! There was no sign of our coffee and mince pies either. Will be having a bit of a rethink about where we go for Christmas Dinner this coming Christmas.

Just got back home after Christmas lunch at the falcon..... very disappointed to be honest with the service. The food in all was good but feel like I’ve just been out for a normal Sunday lunch not Christmas lunch but treble the cost. Sad actually spoilt our Christmas Day and the experience was awful.

Had chicken Diane- far too much mustard in sauce and chicken very dry (not cooked fresh). Husband loved his steak pie.

Normally really enjoy coming here but the past few times the service has been awful the young blonde girl with glasses is incredibly rude and never smiles she actually makes me feel uncomfortable really debating on coming back here. Also got my order wrong and when I tried to explain to her she was adamant she gave me the correct thing until I proved her wrong on the menu.

I have been to this pub on several occasions and never had a problem until tonight.

5 of us went for dinner, two meals sent back.

We ordered 2 steak pies (which I have ordered before) they were inedible. The steak was so hard We couldn’t even get a fork into it.

It truly was like trying to cut into a stone.

The salmon was ok but smothered in a dill sauce or should I say it was dill with a little bit of fish.

The pizza was ok but the tomato

Sauce used tasted like it was watered down and not the usual

Pizza sauce.

The fish and chips was disappointing, couldn’t eat it as there was loads of bones in the fish.



Really disappointed and we won’t be returning. Such a shame as it is in the village and close to our home.



£90 wasted �

Went here on Thursday with my brother as it was are Dads birthday & wanted to raise a glass to him up in the sky. I ordered the beef newyorker, it was the worsed sandwich ever, couldnt even get my teeth through beef let alone chew it. Total waste of £7.95 as couldnt eat it. Did mention it when i came to pay. Was so looking forward to it, just a shame your beef is terrible & hear other people say the same. The bbq chicken wrap my brother had wasnt the best either :(

We went today for Sunday lunch my son wanted the carvery and myself, husband and daughter chose from the menu. Whilst the food was ok the service was absolutely disgusting. We got sat at a table quickly the drinks order taken and then the food order all gooday so far. The waitress said I'll just get your ticket for the carvery and that was the last we seen if her. We waited for about 45 mins when I noticed people who arrived after us had their food. I eventually got up went to the waitress and asked for the ticket for carvery and what had happened to our food. She said ohh has nobody brought your ticket came wrote our a ticket and said I'll go and check for your food the last we seen of her again. I asked someone else what had happened by this time my son was almost finished his meal and we still had nothing. She went away and checked and our meals followed quickly after that. We had been told it was a malfunction with the printer. (Strangely nobody else seemed to have a delay). When the burgers arrived I had to ask what had happened to the onion rings as none arrived. This was swiftly brought with a bowl of 3 for two burgers, I asked if this was for one or two and was told 2 rings for each burger but only 3 in bowl. Anot her bowl of rings arrived by which time the first bowl had about 3 or 4 mm of oil in the bottom of the bowl. So all in all very unpleasant.

We went here last night. Husband ordered the carvery (which he gave 5*), but the pizza me and my daughter had was awful. Not a scrap of mozzarella in sight, instead they’d used what looked like Red Leicester. The cheese was really overpowering and made the pizza inedible. We returned them both. Would have been better to tell us they had no mozzarella than to serve this! The staff were very good though and dealt with this very professionally, clearly a bit embarrassed by it all.

I asked someone else what had happened by this time my son was almost finished his meal and we still had nothing. She went away and checked and our meals followed quickly after that. We had been told it was a malfunction with the printer. (Strangely nobody else seemed to have a delay). When the burgers arrived I had to ask what had happened to the onion rings as none arrived. This was swiftly brought with a bowl of 3 for two burgers, I asked if this was for one or two and was told 2 rings for each burger but only 3 in bowl. Anot her bowl of rings arrived by which time the first bowl had about 3 or 4 mm of oil in the bottom of the bowl. So all in all very unpleasant.

We went here last night. Husband ordered the carvery (which he gave 5*), but the pizza me and my daughter had was awful. Not a scrap of mozzarella in sight, instead they’d used what looked like Red Leicester. The cheese was really overpowering and made the pizza inedible. We returned them both. Would have been better to tell us they had no mozzarella than to serve this! The staff were very good though and dealt with this very professionally, clearly a bit embarrassed by it all.

Visited the falcon tonight with my family of 3 boys, my middle son chose a carvery and upon choosing his meat he opted for all 3!

The chef gave him these and asked if he was going to eat it all with a ha yeah from my son the chef gave him a larger plate...

My son cleared his plate and had room for desert also!

Me and my family came to the falcon last night (6th march) for my wife's 50th birthday meal and we had a great time as we always do the food was spot on as always.

I would like to say a massive thank you to one of the waitresses called holly (sorry i didn't get a last name) for going above and beyond to help me when my hip locked while i was going up the steps back to my table after i got my carvery so thank you holly ur a little good'un x

Just had a fantastic carvery here this evening. The food was beautiful, I had beef and it was cooked to perfection. Lovely presentation, very pleasant staff. Will certainly be back for more!

I had arrived from Australia and was meeting with my family for a catch up, got there about 3.00pm a member of your staff was very abrupt and not very friendly. Thank goodness I have been there before . Which I enjoyed. Even one of my cousins said that’s not good

Great food well priced and excellent service from staff highly recommend a visit you wont be disappointed also live music on Sunday afternoons was very entertaining

Fantastic fathers day carvery at the falcon. Great portion of meat on the carvery and they were kind in catering for my very fussy toddler. Will definitely be back

Booked a table for 8 on Easter Sunday and was very impressed with the cavery. Meat was tasty and perfectly cooked, great selection of vegetables and fresh. Staff were very good. Will certainly be returning soon!!

Beautiful carvery today with my dad , food was delicious, enjoyed dessert with 2 spoons , big shout out to Martin on the carvery counter , nice manner and attitude towards the customers , good job , definitely recommend this place

Generally, the food and service are great. Once or twice the peppercorn sauce on the chicken dish has been far too hot. Steak night is excellent value. £25 for 2 to have a starter/main or main/dessert and a bottle of wine!! Champion.

We went to the Falcon again for Christmas Day lunch. This was our fourth consecutive year. Overall I have no complaints about the food - other than the dessert could have been a bit hotter - but the service this year was nowhere near as good as it has been previously. In the past we’ve been seated in the main restaurant area but this time we were through the bar area. I’ve never noticed tables through there before and wonder if they’d been added in order to take in more bookings? Anyway, service was very slow, it was difficult getting through a full bar carrying plates of food and our waitress clearly didn’t want to be there! There was no sign of our coffee and mince pies either. Will be having a bit of a rethink about where we go for Christmas Dinner this coming Christmas.

Just got back home after Christmas lunch at the falcon..... very disappointed to be honest with the service. The food in all was good but feel like I’ve just been out for a normal Sunday lunch not Christmas lunch but treble the cost. Sad actually spoilt our Christmas Day and the experience was awful.

Had chicken Diane- far too much mustard in sauce and chicken very dry (not cooked fresh). Husband loved his steak pie.

Normally really enjoy coming here but the past few times the service has been awful the young blonde girl with glasses is incredibly rude and never smiles she actually makes me feel uncomfortable really debating on coming back here. Also got my order wrong and when I tried to explain to her she was adamant she gave me the correct thing until I proved her wrong on the menu.

I have been to this pub on several occasions and never had a problem until tonight.

5 of us went for dinner, two meals sent back.

We ordered 2 steak pies (which I have ordered before) they were inedible. The steak was so hard We couldn’t even get a fork into it.

It truly was like trying to cut into a stone.

The salmon was ok but smothered in a dill sauce or should I say it was dill with a little bit of fish.

The pizza was ok but the tomato

Sauce used tasted like it was watered down and not the usual

Pizza sauce.

The fish and chips was disappointing, couldn’t eat it as there was loads of bones in the fish.



Really disappointed and we won’t be returning. Such a shame as it is in the village and close to our home.

Went here on Thursday with my brother as it was are Dads birthday & wanted to raise a glass to him up in the sky. I ordered the beef newyorker, it was the worsed sandwich ever, couldnt even get my teeth through beef let alone chew it. Total waste of £7.95 as couldnt eat it. Did mention it when i came to pay. Was so looking forward to it, just a shame your beef is terrible & hear other people say the same. The bbq chicken wrap my brother had wasnt the best either :(
