About The Four Clocks Centre

"Improving the quality of life for local people"

The Four Clocks Centre Description

The Bishop Auckland Community Partnership is a registered charity; it has many projects under its umbrella that are beneficial to local people and visitors to Bishop Auckland Town.

All our projects are funded and nonprofit making, made up with part time staff and volunteers.

The Four Clocks Centre is the main project where we facilitate meeting rooms for many organisations as well as sign posting and being home to the Citizens Advice Bureau, Bishop Auckland Town Council, Learning Concepts, NECCTA and also Time For You tea room.

Our projects include:

Bishop Auckland Family Contact Centre - "Putting Your Children First"
The family contact centre is a place where a child or children of separated families can enjoy contact with the absent parent in a relaxed, safe and comfortable environment. This helps to maintain contact between a child and both parents.

Cultivate 4 Life - "Footsteps to a brighter future"
This project aims to support the young people and adults of Bishop Auckland and surrounding areas, with their current circumstances and needs, providing a holistic horticultural working environment and one to one support, together aid the community they are a part of.

We are passionate about helping the younger to older community and make positive changes to an individuals life.

For further information about this project, please call the centre on 01388 609 852 and ask to speak with Julie Costello.

Venture Out - Facilitates a service for many organisations and individuals who may benefit from engaging in practical countryside projects and informal education about our surrounding natural history, with opportunities to work towards an accredited John Muir Award. This program suits most individuals from 16 years upwards.

For further information about this project, please contact the centre on 01388 609 852 and ask to speak with Nigel.

The Four Clocks Club - this project is aimed for the older generation of Bishop Auckland, who may need some company to help combat loneliness or isolation.

The Four Clocks Club and Memory Club joined together yesterday for a very festive afternoon meal. Lots of fun was had by all and even had a visit from Mr Clause himself by special request from one of the elves!

This year we are helping Durham Food Bank here in the centre, if you have any in date food items, toiletries, advent calendars etc, we would be very grateful if you could bring them in. All donations will be collected from the centre at the end of November and taken to the Food Bank to help those in need this Winter. Thank you, Four Clocks Centre.

What a site to walk into this morning. The Centre has fallen victim to someone's mindless act of vandalism. Our hanging basket was pulled down and scattered across the walkway. It's a shame that this has happened to such an important building to the local community.

For a chance to win this lovely tea tray and to support a project in the community, why not guess a number between 1 and 70, £1 per go. Tray and numbers are being kept in reception at the Four Clocks Centre.
