Substitution...
...And what a substitution it is...
Sadly Life Of A Dustbin has had to pull out of this Saturday's DAY IN. DAY OUT. - A celebration of music w/ synthetic elements.. However, we're delighted to announce that replacing him is the mighty Shakk. Middlesbrough's hip-hop hero will be delivering sharp, socially conscious rhymes over delicious processed beats. A treat for the ears/mind.

Teesside music quiz on in bar tonight!

User

TONIGHT...
Crown yourself Mr/Mrs Teesside Music Scene by winning the Teesside Music Quiz
In conjunction with In2Quiz. All proceeds go to Music Mind Matter.

User

my first visit last night proved most enjoyable. This is a small venue hosting great music. The bar prices were reasonable and the staff very friendly. It was quite warm in there by the end of the night but 200 old age punks trying to pogo like its 1977 again will cause a temperature rise.

I will be attending more events in the future without a doubt.

User

Was there for the quadraphenia night. Brilliant venue glad the acoustics are still great. Only downside is the bar is tiny. Can only get 2 or 3 people behind the bar. Going to be a nightmare at a sell out event.

User

Super little venue in the heart of stockton.

User

My first visit to the Georgian Theatre last night, and what a wonderful evening! The bar provides a great space to while away time before and after performances, and how lovely to sit and listen to a band play in such an intimate venue. I can't recommend this fantastic little theatre enough!

User

Just come back home having been to the venue to watch "The Wonderstuff" with the wife and our 13 year old daughter - everyone in the party loved the venue.

Beautiful building and great set up.

When the gig was first announced for earlier in the year I emailed the venue to check if our underage daughter would be allowed in and got a reply the same day encouraging us to bring her and advise that the balacony would be ideal for her first proper gig (had been to big arena's for the likes log OneD and Littlemix etc)

Balcony ideal for her, only fear she had was of embarrassment at her dad dancing LOL

Actively looking at future gigs for a return visit.

PS decent prices at the bar - pint of coke (I was des for the night) only £2.00 and large glass of wine (bribe to get wife to go) only £5.00

User

I love the re-fit and expansion of the bar. It's a bit tight for space at times but that could be rectified by re-arranging the tables in the bar area so people don't congregate round the door. The venue is just what's needed in Stockton, so far I've seen Wire and Spear Of Destiny and they've been exceptional gigs. Off to see Brix Smith in May as well. Another plus for this gem of a place is the policy on cameras - I do like taking photos at gigs and their relaxed approach to cameras at gigs is refreshing. All in all, a brilliant venue and I look forward to seeing more music there this year.

User

I am always worried when booking a disabled ticket, venues can be a bit chancey the Georgian however are a mile ahead. Made welcome from the moment the phone was answered. It was great to be part of the crowd not shoved in a corner. I was very close to the stage, never got jostled, people where even pointing out to others that they were blocking my view! I found out after the gig that the venue had contacted Dan out of the Wonder Stuff asking his advice! Extra mile, no, extra hundred miles, hell yeah! Thanks guys!!!!!

User

Had a real fantastic time at the Quiz, Fantastic food, Friendly staff... I'll be back at the next quiz in Nov that's for damn sure....

User

Great venue, superb facilities and excellent sound on & off stage. Thanks to all the staff at the venue and to Rock Garden Promotions, top professionals.

User

Great little venue. Went to see Doctors of Madness and was not disappointed. My first time here and it is a lovely building. Enjoyed the beer and real ale is good. Will come back in the near future.

User

First visit so can't compare. I found it cozy clean efficient staff, a little gem of a music venue to be honest.

User

Fantastic cocktails tonight courtesy of Gary and Lisa. Very impressive!

User

Brilliant wee gig venue area and door staff pleasant. Good vibe.

User

Brilliant venue, lovely staff and totally wheelchair friendly and accessible. Simon has got to be the friendliest doorman around!

User

1st time been bak since new makeover excelent nite i wud go agen anytime thete are more gud band the skids were outstanding

User

Was there Saturday to watch the Southmartins. Excellent venue packed to the rafters. Bar area lovely also and surrounded by bars and restaurants. A little hidden gem

User

Loved the bands on stage on Saturday. Great new layout. Just one negative being the flimsy plastic glasses you use, even the green dragon pub use rigid plastic. It's like stepping back to the seventies.

User

Great newly refurbished venue, new bar area is excellent though small and the sound quality in the venue itself is excellent. Dropped a star only because when busy the queue for drinks sort of ends up mingling with those either sat or stood with drinks already. Still the best place locally for live music though.

User

Definitely Oasis was excellent last night love the venue been quite a few times but need to sort your bar out guys. No Red Stripe cans no pink gin, bar staff were slow & no bottle bar open
