User

The venue was full which is always sign of a great place, top class food and service. Throughly enjoyed and I will be going back and bringing the family...brilliant

User

The meal was outstanding the staff was so polite and very professional if anyone needs a place for a great meal it has to be The Gibraltar Rock

User

Lovely place food is fabulous every time we have been. Staff are lovely ! Took my dad and husband on Saturday very quiet in the restaurant but had a good time eating and chatting we were not hurried off the table either. Well done we will be back!

User

Love going to the Gib, the staff are lovely. Great service and I like the room where the carvery is. The meat and Yorkshire puddings are always lovely. I only wish there was more choice of veg as it’s usually carrots and peas. Ok the roast potatoes are lovely and the parsnips but the last few times I’ve been to the Gib there were no broccoli or turnip, it’s just the same veg, no change. Desserts are fab

User

Late Sunday afternoon, welcomed in, great service, and fish and chips to die for

User

Had the most wonderful time last night for my husbands 50th birthday meal. 20 of us had great food and were really well looked after by the guys working on the night. Thanks for making us welcome and taking care of all of us.

User

First time I have been here.

Had 2 adult carvery meals and also a child’s carvery meal which included a soft drink and ice cream.

2 alcoholic drinks too. All for just over £20

The carvery was the best I’ve had, everything was piping hot and fresh veg too , home made Yorkshire puddings and the meat just fell apart. Absolutely beautiful.

The staff were welcoming and friendly.

Will definitely be returning

Everytime I come here it's just lush from the minute I walk in the food the staff and drinks and the views love it

User

Couldn't fault anything to do with the food/drinks/service this afternoon. Carvery spot on and 2 very nice desserts that my daughter and I had. I spoke with the young lad when he took payment regarding our visit. 🖒

User

Best value carvery I have had for a long time the beef was tender & a good amount lots of hot fresh veg & the staff were hospitable can't say enough good stuff about the place

User

Been wanting to try here for a while and we today with family and it was lovely.

We had Carvery and fish and chips and it was beautiful, loads of meat and the stuffing was the best I’ve had.

It was very busy but found a table upstairs.

Staff were lovely too and we will definitely return

User

An excellent meal in a room with a sea view looked after by friendly and efficient staff

User

Amazing for my gluten free friends out there.

The manager couldn’t do enough to put me at ease about cross contamination. I had special vegetables brought over so I didn’t miss out on anything !!! Really good! Thankyou x

User

A group of eleven of us went on New Years Eve ,6 adults 5 children ranging from 13years to a 3 year old . The welcome was great, the food amazing , the prices were good and the service spot on.Our dishes included black pudding and belly pork , leek and potato soup , fish and chips and the famous carvery. All the dishes were cooked to perfection and large portions .The puddings were delicious too .we will definitely go back and highly recommend it to our friends x

User

Went there with the daughter for the first time and ordered the 3 course meal for £7, we both had the potato skins which were really nice, then had our carvery which I loved, Yorkshire puddings were a bit dry but the rest was spot on, and ice cream to finish is off. The only negative was the bairn burnt here hands as the plates and counters are red hot.

User

Visited for my birthday with hubby, we both had haddock & chips, which was lovely, proper homemade chips, large fish, pot of mushy peas & tartare sauce. Sat upstairs, lad who served us very pleasant & friendly. Might even try the carvery next time.

User

Never been to the Gibraltar Rock Carvery before so decided to go with the family for Sunday (Christmas) lunch. Small glitch on arrival; originally booked for 3 people, changed to 5 people but booking on the day only said 3. However, this was quickly rectified and we were given a table for 6. Waitresses come around to get you drinks and food orders. We waited quite a while for our first drinks but not at all for our second drinks or the bill. We opted for the carvery which was well presented, the chef was friends and there were lots of veg to choose from. The food was a good temperature and delicious and was a fair price £8.95. The desserts looked delicious but we couldn’t eat another thing. We would definitely return and recommend you try this.
