Just left from celebrating my friends 30th and it was such a good idea to go here! The staff were amazing and really helpful. The food was very very good and the place just felt like a safe chilled place to eat, chat and celebrate....to all the staff who worked this evening thank you so much!

Just been for dinner and the 6 of us 4 adults 2 kids and was delicious plenty of choice generous portions and cheap as anything will defo be back x

Came here yesterday for my mams friends 30th birthday! We enjoyed the food, and drinks.. sorry for the mess my 10 month old made ’┐Į and sorry my son was running around riot...(heŌĆÖs been like that since Friday for some reason.. canŌĆÖt sit still) but we sure did enjoy our time.. the CadburyŌĆÖs sundae was lovely! Sure come here again soon! Have a fab easter you lovely bunch of staff!

Brilliant service young bar girl believe her name was Maisie so helpful would decently recommend if in the local area.

Popped in for a few drinks throughly enjoyed ourselves, relaxed friendly atmosphere, bar staff were very pleasant, drinks served perfectly and at a reasonable price. DidnŌĆÖt order any food but looking forward to trying some as we intend returning very soon

Popped in for a couple of drinks. The frozen mango daquiri were lovely and you got 2 shots of Bacardi in too and was less than ┬Ż3.50 for a good sized glass.

The frose wine- our new fave drink! Lovely and again at a good price. Only complaint would be it ran out a couple of times while we were there. Would recommend for lovely summer drinks at a good price.

Lovely place to take kids. Kids play area was good, and Peppa pig on the Tele to keep them occupied. Food was nice but not great presentation. Had sweet chilli chicken sandwich but just came on plate with a few chips. A nice dressed side salad would finish it off nicely. Will be coming again.

Definatly going back nice food good service and not bad priced.

Yet again walked into chaos at the bar with not enough staff, top bar off as usual, no one behind the bar and 7 deep in the lounge. The food is terrible microwave rubbish and the Guinness is awful. After watching the que at the bar go nowhere after 15 mins we decided to leave, even the bell is better staffed now. If you want real pub food and good beer the wolsey is the place to go. Such a shame

Went for dinner on ValentineŌĆÖs Day. On arrival it was busy but very under staffed i.e. one member of staff serving drinks and one other serving food. I was told that there would be a 40 minute wait on food but decided to go ahead as I could see how busy it was. When our food arrived my partners food (the South Carolina) was perfect but unfortunately mine was barely warm (old faithful) I suspect mine was done before my partners and possibly left to stand. I have to say I was disappointed as been once before and was lovely.

We were in for pub food yesterday. It was the first time weŌĆÖve been in and we did enjoy our food and drinks. The only negative was the boy doing the waiting was overworked I think and was rushed to get meals out and therefore carried 3 plates at a time resting one of them against his body which I think is slightly unhygienic. Not his fault though. Perhaps more staff needed. For better ambiance perhaps dim lights a tad. I felt I was in a clinic. Overall..good food at a good price!

We had the garlic chicken which was very nice only thing spoilt it for me was chips were just say warm but over all good would call again

We came for tea on 7.10.17 as a family of 2 adults and 2 grown kids. Food was fine but very disappointed that battered halloumi was just 2 pieces. It used to be more. Mushy peas were most definitely tinned and not even mushy. We had asked on ordering if we could change peas for just a little side salad and were told no it's not allowed. Yet my youngest daughter ordered from the kids menu and could have side salad with her nuggets and chips. Seems a bit unfair really. Also we had to chase up our desserts as we waited ages after our dishes were cleared and there was no sign of them. Can I just add, besides these few little niggles the staff were pleasant, it was very busy yet we didn't seem to wait too long for food.

The place looks and feels 'run down ' the food was OK not special and they need more staff. However - it was crowded so must be doing something right, I can't figure what it is though. Maybe I'm getting too used to better service in pub restaurants.

My daughters mini mixed grill however was a little bit of a let down though as her garlic bread was black on the bottom of one and her beans cold on arrival, Luckily she was full so we didnŌĆÖt ask for a replacement. Chips could be better but on a whole and for the price we were satisfied. The rolo cheesecake and tiramisu were lovely and staff were great.

Myself and my son had a beef dinner and chicken dinner on Sunday 11th Feb ......we were really looking forward to the meal as I remember the grange doing fab Sunday lunches. ....what a shock we got , the smell of bleach as soon as you walked in I thought that was wrong where food is , so looking forward to our meal here it comes. ..with the smell of bleach lingering in air , WHAT IS THIS ’┐Į 3 paper thin slices of beef, frozen veg, frozen Yorkshire puds ,deep fried 2 roast potatoes and 2 deep fried parsnips, and a small gravy boat ,even had to ask for mustard. ... and the chicken dinner was the same .....very disappointed we were. Felt it was microwaved rather than freshly cooked. What a shame for a pub with a good reputation.

Bloody disgusting. Terrible food, piss poor service. Won't be going back there for a meal anytime soon

Plates were overfilled with under cooked onions at a ridiculous amount and I mean there was more onions than there were any of the rest of the meal. Chips say they were seasoned. They were far from it. There was no meat at all on the ribs, the New Yorker was missing food that was meant to come with. Cutlery was disgusting still had food and stains left on them. Asked for a refund for the meal and only one meal was refunded and the staff said there was nothing else he could do and shrugged his shoulders and took the plate away and didnŌĆÖt come back when we complained about the amount of onions on the plates (which werenŌĆÖt even stated on the menu that it came with onions) they said it was simply because of the size of the plate so they had to fill it. If thatŌĆÖs the problem then buy smaller plates or fill it with the food youŌĆÖre serving it with. Cups were covered in lipstick, let alone being told that the coffee that was ordered would not be made until the rest of the customers waiting at the bar were served even though we were customers too. Condiment holder was covered in sticky substances the menu was covered in the same substances. No apology for the state of the food or the fact we were not happy with the service. No receipt was issued for any of the meals. Working within the food industry myself I am disgraced that the staff are running that place the way they are running it without a care they are generally there just for the payslip not for the good of the company. Would not recommend this to anyone at a disgrace if this place we have left and went to McDonaldŌĆÖs instead at least they attend to there paying customers orders and everything is actually cooked fresh!

After watching the que at the bar go nowhere after 15 mins we decided to leave, even the bell is better staffed now. If you want real pub food and good beer the wolsey is the place to go. Such a shame

I have to say I was disappointed as been once before and was lovely.

Not his fault though. Perhaps more staff needed. For better ambiance perhaps dim lights a tad. I felt I was in a clinic. Overall..good food at a good price!

We had the garlic chicken which was very nice only thing spoilt it for me was chips were just say warm but over all good would call again

We came for tea on 7.10.17 as a family of 2 adults and 2 grown kids. Food was fine but very disappointed that battered halloumi was just 2 pieces. It used to be more. Mushy peas were most definitely tinned and not even mushy. We had asked on ordering if we could change peas for just a little side salad and were told no it's not allowed. Yet my youngest daughter ordered from the kids menu and could have side salad with her nuggets and chips. Seems a bit unfair really. Also we had to chase up our desserts as we waited ages after our dishes were cleared and there was no sign of them. Can I just add, besides these few little niggles the staff were pleasant, it was very busy yet we didn't seem to wait too long for food.

The place looks and feels 'run down ' the food was OK not special and they need more staff. However - it was crowded so must be doing something right, I can't figure what it is though. Maybe I'm getting too used to better service in pub restaurants.

I like to come here for food and drink but lately the service has been shocking! Not the staffs fault, it's the lack of staff. Queues at the bar 15 deep when the pub is not that busy. Walked in and walked out last weekend because of the extremely slow service. Please employ more staff to cover service at the bar x

Good family meal, my husband enjoyed his sticky chilli beef and I my burger. My daughters mini mixed grill however was a little bit of a let down though as her garlic bread was black on the bottom of one and her beans cold on arrival, Luckily she was full so we didnŌĆÖt ask for a replacement. Chips could be better but on a whole and for the price we were satisfied. The rolo cheesecake and tiramisu were lovely and staff were great.

Myself and my son had a beef dinner and chicken dinner on Sunday 11th Feb ......we were really looking forward to the meal as I remember the grange doing fab Sunday lunches. ....what a shock we got , the smell of bleach as soon as you walked in I thought that was wrong where food is , so looking forward to our meal here it comes. ..with the smell of bleach lingering in air , WHAT IS THIS ’┐Į 3 paper thin slices of beef, frozen veg, frozen Yorkshire puds ,deep fried 2 roast potatoes and 2 deep fried parsnips, and a small gravy boat ,even had to ask for mustard. ... and the chicken dinner was the same .....very disappointed we were. Felt it was microwaved rather than freshly cooked. What a shame for a pub with a good reputation.

Bloody disgusting. Terrible food, piss poor service. Won't be going back there for a meal anytime soon

Came out for a meal with the family ordered the two of us ordered the chicken and rib combo and the other ordered the New Yorker. What a disgrace both meals were. Plates were overfilled with under cooked onions at a ridiculous amount and I mean there was more onions than there were any of the rest of the meal. Chips say they were seasoned. They were far from it. There was no meat at all on the ribs, the New Yorker was missing food that was meant to come with. Cutlery was disgusting still had food and stains left on them. Asked for a refund for the meal and only one meal was refunded and the staff said there was nothing else he could do and shrugged his shoulders and took the plate away and didnŌĆÖt come back when we complained about the amount of onions on the plates (which werenŌĆÖt even stated on the menu that it came with onions) they said it was simply because of the size of the plate so they had to fill it. If thatŌĆÖs the problem then buy smaller plates or fill it with the food youŌĆÖre serving it with. Cups were covered in lipstick, let alone being told that the coffee that was ordered would not be made until the rest of the customers waiting at the bar were served even though we were customers too. Condiment holder was covered in sticky substances the menu was covered in the same substances. No apology for the state of the food or the fact we were not happy with the service. No receipt was issued for any of the meals. Working within the food industry myself I am disgraced that the staff are running that place the way they are running it without a care they are generally there just for the payslip not for the good of the company. Would not recommend this to anyone at a disgrace if this place we have left and went to McDonaldŌĆÖs instead at least they attend to there paying customers orders and everything is actually cooked fresh!
