HI JBD's - its nearly time to start a new term at Studio 10....we are all very excited to get started! A quick reminder that all fees for this coming term should be paid by 1st September or they will incur a late payment fee. Also, we are still wanting for a number of forms from possible panto performers for both Darlington and Durham auditions - if you have been invited to come along to audition then please let us know if you wish to attend (or not!). I am delighted to officially announce and welcome the latest member of the JBD Team - Miss Molly Fawcett. Molly will be joining us from September as an Apprentice Dance Teacher and will be working both in the studio and out and about in the community. Molly has been a JBD for many years and is very excited to join the staff!! We send her a great big welcome and best wishes. X

Last Graduate class of the year....traditional trip to the park for the group photo followed by cheesy chips and cupcakes!! X

Well I’m a bit late to the party today (being the Gaffa I’ve had a few things to do this morning!).... but want to add my words about this week. Every show we do is a special event, memories are made, fun times had but this week has been extraordinarily special....I don’t know if it’s being (back) in the Hippodrome, the great team we’ve had working on it, the fabulous routines that have been created and performed or the fact that the sun has not stopped shining but this week ...has been incredible. Watching everyone on stage has been great but what’s even better is watching everyone behind the stage - the professionalism, the team work, the camaraderie, new friendships being formed, old ones made deeper by the shared experience. Quiet, calm, organised and yet enthusiastic, hilarious and inspiring at the same time. From everyone at JBD (who I love most dearly not just as staff but as true friends too) thank you for all your support this week and throughout the year and for being the kind of parents who give their kids opportunities like this - ‘in 20 years it’s not a shiny trophy that I’ll miss but I’ll always smile when I remember this’. With love xxx

DRESS REHEARSALS and AWARDS NIGHT REMINDERS Just a couple of reminders....this weekend is our Dress Rehearsal weekend. First Dress Rehearsal is on Saturday and everyone is needed from 1.30pm to 6pm this is followed by our Parents Meeting at 6pm to 7pm (all participants under 18 years of age MUST have a respresentative at this meeting for legal reasons). Second Dress Rehearsal is on Sunday at 1.30pm to 6pm. ALL PERFORMERS MUST ATTEND THESE TWO REHEARSALS. Our Awards Night tickets are selling super quickly and we only have 50 left for the evening - we do have a maximum number we can sell and once we reach that there will not be any more to sell!! DO NOT MISS OUT - get yours today!

We will be selecting 17 of our best young dancers to represent us and join the eccentric Louie Spence on stage in 'Aladdin'! Roll on another fabulous, fun-filled Christmas in Pantoland! x

The Joanne Banks Dancers are the most talented, hard working, inspirational group of people I have ever met and I have made the best life long friends. 15 years and counting... I'll be there till I'm 80! Amazing teachers too, Joanne, Kay and Reagen, so much respect for these talented ladies!!

My little girl started at the dance school 2 weeks ago. She is only 2.5 hears old. The girls there are all so friendly & helpful towards me & my daughter. My daughter comes out so excited it's a pleasure to see! X

My daughter has been attending The Joanne Banks Dancers for six months now. She has just taken part in their annual dance show and I am amazed at how much she has learnt in that time. Her confidence has grown immensely and her smile spoke a thousand words when up on the stage - huge thanks to you all �

My daughter had her first tap/modern dance class today and loved every minute. Staff were very accommodating and professional making us all feel very welcome. Would highly recommend to future customers.

My daughter Emmy aged 4 went along for her first ballet lesson yesterday after asking and asking ! Emmy was fortunate to start with a nursery friend which helped. It ll be a lovely way to stay in touch given they re going to different schools.

She absolutely loved it and when it ended she asked "mammy have you defiantly got the ladies telephone number so I can go again"

Emmy then rein acted what she learnt to her twin brothers aged 12 who had a ballet lesson too �� Brilliant start!! thanks everyone for making us feel so welcome!

Joanne so great to see your dancers again after so many years at Hardwick today. what a fantastic troop you have, simply brilliant. Have to be honest and say seeing your mum and dad was amazing too, so lovely to see a lady that even after 20 odd years....odd mind I still talk about very fondly and often. Lovely to see you all xx

Ive been apart of JBD since 1992 I danced 7 years with Joanne myself, and know my youngest daughter has followed my foot steps, she love dancing with you all and loves being apart of the JBD family. My daughter did her first show 2014 and first exam December 2014 and is looking forward to more to come. Thank you for looking after her and excepting her in you dance family, it makes me so proud. Couldn't ask for nicer people to help guide my daughter during her stepping stones of life, good role modles to help her with on her way. Its a great way to watch her bloom and grow thank you again x x x

My little girl started at the dance school 2 weeks ago. She is only 2.5 hears old. The girls there are all so friendly & helpful towards me & my daughter. My daughter comes out so excited it's a pleasure to see! X

My daughter has been attending The Joanne Banks Dancers for six months now. She has just taken part in their annual dance show and I am amazed at how much she has learnt in that time. Her confidence has grown immensely and her smile spoke a thousand words when up on the stage - huge thanks to you all �

My daughter had her first tap/modern dance class today and loved every minute. Staff were very accommodating and professional making us all feel very welcome. Would highly recommend to future customers.

My daughter Emmy aged 4 went along for her first ballet lesson yesterday after asking and asking ! Emmy was fortunate to start with a nursery friend which helped. It ll be a lovely way to stay in touch given they re going to different schools.

She absolutely loved it and when it ended she asked "mammy have you defiantly got the ladies telephone number so I can go again"

Emmy then rein acted what she learnt to her twin brothers aged 12 who had a ballet lesson too �� Brilliant start!! thanks everyone for making us feel so welcome!

Joanne so great to see your dancers again after so many years at Hardwick today. what a fantastic troop you have, simply brilliant. Have to be honest and say seeing your mum and dad was amazing too, so lovely to see a lady that even after 20 odd years....odd mind I still talk about very fondly and often. Lovely to see you all xx

Ive been apart of JBD since 1992 I danced 7 years with Joanne myself, and know my youngest daughter has followed my foot steps, she love dancing with you all and loves being apart of the JBD family. My daughter did her first show 2014 and first exam December 2014 and is looking forward to more to come. Thank you for looking after her and excepting her in you dance family, it makes me so proud. Couldn't ask for nicer people to help guide my daughter during her stepping stones of life, good role modles to help her with on her way. Its a great way to watch her bloom and grow thank you again x x x

Fantastic dancing school Hailie comes out always with a smile. Her confidence has greatly improved since starting here. This is all down to the very friendly and professional staff who go out of their way to help you anyway they can. She loves performing and loves the shows they do every year at Darlington theatre.

An absolute pleasure to grow up working with some amazing, kind and highly professional teachers. There is a constant strive to continue to develop an amazing dance school. I can 100% say I spent 10 years of attending this dance school which became like family, and gained a wealth of experience and have no regrets (only having to leave for university). I can’t praise them all any more, my love for performing was born there and I am forever grateful.

A fantastic dance school, my daughter has been attending for 19 months now and her dance abilities and confidence have shown massive improvements! The staff are all so friendly and my daughter enjoys going on a dance and socialising level as has made many friends as have we mums too! Highly recommended to anyone whose children enjoy dancing the annual shows are out of this world and also there are exams which my daughter thoroughly enjoys also as she climbs further up higher levels each time!
