Rehearsals are well under way for Pickering Musical Society's (PMS) pantomime Hansel & Gretel.
This year's panto (January 11-20) is rather special as it is the first production of the society's centenary year.
... PMS was formed in 1919 and everyone is immensely proud the milestone has been reached.
Hansel & Gretel is written by society life member Ron Hall and is once again directed by Luke Arnold.
The pantomime follows the traditional fairytale with a few pantomime twists.
The action takes place in the town of Munchin Koffdropp where you follow the adventures of the young Hansel and Gretel.
A wonderful evening of entertainment awaits you... oh yes it does!

We’re under way!

Went to the tribute act of olly and Bruno totally fab night ,disappointed that it wasn't a full house of people attending and supporting a brilliant night, keep up the good work you do .

We went to watch the Ryedale School Music Concert, a lovely night with very obliging staff.

We always thoroughly enjoy Pickering panto (oh yes we do!) but I have to say this year was truly the best ever. The dancers were fantastic, Baby Bear was brill (a star of the future Toni Pape-Hodgson), my cheeks ached from some of the comic sketches/ad libs between Dame Trot and Simple Simon and Goldilocks & Prince Edwin were simply outstanding. Well done to all involved - cast, band and back stage. *five star*

This production of The Little Mermaid was amazing, in this very intimate theatre. Can't wait to get tickets for next years Pantomime. Star performances from all the cast, Heidi and Baldrick were fabulous.

Really enjoyed Carry on Britain! Congratulations to all involved in staging it. Looking forward to returning next year.

My first time for the War Weekend a warm and friendly Theatre made to feel welcome by all will certainly visit at my first opportunity again long may we have this type of Local theatres

Fantastic time watching Goldilocks and the three bears pantomime. Both my 2 year old and 10 month old were mesmerised by the show � � � massive well done to everyone involved �

Another great performance at the Kirk Theatre last night such a joy to hear the old songs re produced so well . The costumes are brilliant, the lighting, the props and the ever efficient crew made for a delightful evening. You can see how much hard work goes into the production and it would be great to see every seat full. Your last chance tonight, may be worth checking if there are any seats available. For me a very nostalgic return to the 1950 s when the original film came out . And I went to see it with my late husband. All that and drinking wine and having a lovely ice cream made for a wonderful evening.

A fantastic venue for the pantomime! We were really well looked after by all the staff and greatly enjoy ourselves as one adult and two children. Really looking forward to coming back again!

A Group of us went to see The Gary Barlow tribute/Bootleg Barlow yesterday, What a great evening we all really enjoyed it.

A good atmosphere and very good performance unique talented and had eveyone up . Friendly staff at the kirk there is a Bar too of course and not forgetting the sweet section 👌 Top Notch. Highly recommend 😃

Went to the Elvis tribute act on Saturday night, absolutely brilliant.
