We stopped off for Sunday lunch with the dogs, who got loads of fuss as usual. Warm and inviting especially near the log burner. We both had the roast lamb which was really succulent, and loads of it. Then a walk on the beach after which back to The Lord Crewe to warm up. Still loads of people in eating mid afternoon which just goes to show how popular it is. I think this is going to become one of our regular haunts when we're on holiday again, we'll certainly be back. Highly recommended.

User

We have just stayed at the Lord Crew for the first time...

Eaten here on lots of occasions and always enjoyed the food.

The room was very comfortable, lovely decor and the bathroom was big enough to have a dance in.

Breakfast was fantastic, with fruit, cereal, toast and a variety of cooked items that would suite all

Highly recommend

We had the most enjoyable evening meal of our holiday here after an impromptu stop off in Bamburgh. Spectacular views from the beer garden and dog friendly inside and out, so we were all happy! Ordered the Smoked Haddock Chowder which was delicious. The seafood linguine and kids meals were also hits and very good value with homemade delicious fresh ingredients. Did not disappoint and would definetely visit again when we're in the area.

We had a lovely overnight stay here over the gloriously sunny Bank Holiday weekend. We were booked in very quickly and shown to Room 5, beautifully decorated with a gorgeous bathroom and a view over to the Castle on one side and over to the sea on the other. We had dinner that night and it was absolutely fabulous, really good food, well cooked and with great service. Our bed was very comfy, slept like logs, and breakfast next morning was really good too, with great service again. We will be back again I am certain, wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

We called Dec 23rd evening, the Crewe Arms stands right in the shadow of Bamburgh Castle. The pub had just been refurbished and is a wonderful composition of new and traditional it’s a really beautiful space to be in. We were still too stuffed with lunch-times Seahouses fish and chips to eat but we did look at the menu which was fab and no more expensive than anywhere else. The staff were lovely. We had a nice chat with them about the refurbishment, the village, their usual customers etc and as it wasn’t too busy they happily spent the time chatting. One excellent feature is the old bar room being refurbished specifically to welcome dog-owners and their pets. No-one with a dog wants to be turned away but on the other hand, us dog owners don’t want our dogs to bother anyone. Problem solved....a “Dog-bar”. Overall it’s a lovely Pub Restaurant in a wonderful location in an idyllic village.

User

Three of us had an early evening meal in the dog friendly room. Service friendly and food very good - steak burger, chicken and chilli linguini, veg curry followed by sticky ginger pud and marmalade pud with custard. Beer great too. Lovely views from the room.

User

This lovely hotel had been on my bucket list for years. Finally made it this week and I was not disappointed. Extremely friendly, helpful staff, amazing food, good selection of gins at the bar, very comfortable beds, room with a view and everywhere clean and tidy. Will absolutely certainly be back.

Recommended most highly. Thank you all, but must mention Sharon, our own personal angel.

User

Stayed in Bamburgh for a week and ate here numerous times, I never had the same dish twice and everything I ate was spot on. I’ve got to say this was my favourite eating and drinking place in the village, the staff were all very friendly ( unlike the Victoria where rudeness is the order of the day) keep up the good work, I can’t wait to come back. Definitely recommend you to all my family and friends.

User

Really good meal yesterday..veg curry was amazing, everyone else I was with had Fish and Chips and they loved it. It was fab to be able to sit inside a nice place to eat with my dog too. Thanks!

User

Loved our meal here! The salmon platter was lovely and my husband said how much he enjoyed the crab soup. There was a good selection of mains and the desserts were especially good. The ginger pudding was most enjoyable and the pavlova that my friend had looked divine. Friendly staff, nice decour and a good selection of wines and beers. I highly recommend a visit to the Lord Crewe

User

I had the pleasure of staying here recently after winning a competition and I have to say, we couldn't fault the place in any way. The room was beautifully presented, immaculate and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant, again was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, and the staff couldn't have been more polite, friendly and helpful. Bamburgh is one of my favourite places from being a child, and we will definitely be calling back. Thank you :)
