Hey folks this bank holiday weekend we have karaoke on Friday from 9pm with selected drink offers and Saturday night we have live music once again, Midnight Rose on stage at 9pm with free entry as usual.

BAR STAFF REQUIRED. must be flexible as shifts are day, evening and weekends. Must be 18 or over. Please pop in and pick up an application form. Please note we will not reply to facebook messages for this vacancy.

Its with great regret I have to inform everybody that tonight's live band is cancelled. This is due to illness within the band. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Please like and share to get the message out there. However for those who need their live music fix we have Live music next Saturday with a first visit of THE MAZE at the mitre playing classic rock covers.

Well the weekend has arrived. Tonight we have karaoke from 9pm with drink offers. Then tomorrow (Saturday) we have Syndicate 66 live on stage at 9pm. Free entry as always.

The valley dogs loud and live

Live music again this week (And no I`m not talking about Eurovision). We have the wonderful "Valley Dogs" returning on Saturday. On stage at 9pm as always.

Hey Folks. Its live music weekend again. On Friday from 9:30pm we have Karaoke for any budding X factor finalists out there (along with selected drinks offers). And on Saturday we have the wonderfully titled "ToldYaOnce" playing here for the first time. So come on down and show your support for live music in your local. They will be live on stage from 9pm as usual.

Live music again this weekend. We have the immensely talented Chris Gilly on stage on the Sat 17th. For those that don`t recognise the name he was part oft he incredible duo called "Revolver".

Due to a prior commitment there will be no Karaoke this Friday. 😥

Live music again this weekend. We have a real treat as anyone who came in for our Halloween band will remember. We have "Suzuki and the Bandits" playing live on Sat Night. On stage from 9pm. I know the date is wrong in the poster however Stupid facebook wont let me change the picture only the text :(

Just had a lovely tea out with my daughter to celebrate her award at school. Dinner was lovely, happy to make changes for me (I'm awkward!), pudding - black forest cake and custard was delicious! Lovely staff and atmosphere, we will be back soon :-)

It has been a great Easter weekend in the Pub,Saturday night hosted the Fabulously entertaining band "So What". Sunday the Brilliant Boogie Nights Disco appeared with the "Wrong Year" pop quiz and played some excellent music into the early hours.

Tonight starting at 9pm is the Easter Fun Quiz with lots of giveaway prizes to be won. Don't miss it...

I came yesterday to celebrate my sisters birthday with my family and was greeted by a friendly young man behind the bar, The food we ordered was delivered quickly and was delicious, I liked the fact that you could order a half portion or a larger meal and was excellent value for money, we will definitely be coming back �

Haven’t been here for a lot of years glad we went last night for tea very nice place food was lovely didn’t have to long to wait about 1/2 an hour pub was busy the young bar lad was fantastic but over worked had the bar to do set tables clear up but he was brilliant could do with some help. We will definitely be going back well done 👍

Go at least once a week (my local) and love the place. Friendly staff and always very accommodating. Food is lovely, kids love the parmo and chips. Serves moretti which is another added bonus.

Five of us had starters mains and few deserts here and could not fault anything at all... prices and food are class, the pub is clean and spacious and couldn't fault the staff at all... definitely will go again... highly recommended :-)

Excellent pub bar meals cooked to perfection and good value for money landlord and landlady plus staff very friendly and welcoming variety of entertainment well worth a visit go on treat yourselves

Came here with the in laws for they wedding anniversary and it’s was nice and quiet the staff are very friendly and welcoming the service was great and the food was amazing I will definitely be coming back here next month when we come back down to Stockton ....definitely recommend this lovely place

Best food ever great landlord and lady very friendly would highly and do recommend to everyone top food and service especially from the head barman/manager! ( service that is !!

Been in lots of times but not for a while. First time I've eaten here. Three of us had a meal and the food was lovely. Would highly recommend it.

Been going every Friday sometimes on Saturday half parmo homemade chips £4.95 can't fault it used to go to centenary and horse and jockey sizzling pubs food is scrap nice to have home cooking and served straight away

As regular diners in here we love it . The food is excellent (homemade chips to die for) and the staff are helpful and friendly

Being ex tenants of The Mitre for three years me and my family have always felt slightly reluctant to return since we left in November 2013.

Last night we finally overcame our fear of an awkward and strange feeling we might experience trying it out as customers.

The new owners and staff seem very professional and the customer service was very impressive.

It still has the cosy , friendly and warming vibe and the food was brilliant - quick service and great quality!

We will definately be returning to try out the Sunday carvery!

We went on Saturday night to see the band Last Anthem. Wouldn't normally go to the mitre. Anyway staff were brilliant, very accommodating. I complained because they ran out of ice and our wine was so warm. Therefore we weren't enjoying our drinks. The manager was lovely and very apologetic. Gave us 2 bottles of chilled wine on the house. Can't believe they weren't ready for a very busy night after being there last year when last anthem played. Thoroughly enjoyed the night and Last Anthem were amazing as ever.

Went for a couple drinks with some friends and normally we have a good time with friendly staff but tonight my friend got ganged up on with the manager, the landlord and 3 other staff for having 2 drinks and being "too drunk" as they said, then he got threatened by them And being backed up into a corner by himself, they were serving people who were drunk and we got banned for having 2 drinks, would not recommended this pub to anyone, really bad experience and will not be going again

Went for Sunday carvery with my 2daughters and family 10 of us and it was horrid I know veg is supposed to be crunchy but this was rock hard the Yorkshire pudding were burnt the only nice things was the meat an gravy how stupid were we not to complain won't be going back there again

The mash was like glue with a pot of pepper in it. The carrots were cooked within an inch of its life not peeled and just randomly chopped the meat had huge fat veins in it the cabbage was a mix of savoy and purple which just didn't go and to top it off the roasties were cold
