We came here on Father's Day following a very busy and sweaty trip to Adventure Valley. It was no issue getting a table indoors by the kids play area which was super for our 2 little ones. Drinks and food are great value for money and the food came quickly and was really tasty. Best thing for us though was the attentive member of staff who looked after us, Fitzy, he noticed our daughter's eyes were playing up with hay fever and he was so lovely and brought her some ice from the bar wrapped in napkins to soothe her eyes, she was over the moon and felt really looked after :) he even made our hot, sweaty and tired 1 year old smile...what more can you ask for! We had a lovely time and will definitely return...especially since Fitzy actually ran after us after we left and caught up with us in the car park with one of my youngest daughter's toys which she'd dropped under the table. Top guy!

We called in after a shopping trip to the Arnison Centre and weren't dissappointed. We had 3 adult meals and 1childs and all the plates were completely cleared. The staff were polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.

Visited on a real hot Fathers Day and expected it to be busy, but the service was really good and even though we waited for food it was worth it.

My family are new up north so are still exploring our new surroundings. My partner & I really enjoyed our 1st visit. Lovely food & even though they had a few new staff they were all very helpful, smiley & friendly. Our food was well presented & came really quickly. We will definitely be back to visit again 🙂

I have been at this pub for the first time with my Friends on Sunday dinner and I was impressed with food and staff. Yesterday I had my birthday and with my friends I went there for some food. I haven't booked a table but Mick (hope it's correct name) find a table for 6 of us:-) thank you very much:-) I have spent a lovely time,enjoying delicious food and also had a delicious dessert as a birthday surprise. We will be coming back:-)

Been today for the first time and we all loved it, the food was delicious � , � can't have any complaints , great variety of food, didn't have to wait long for food either like you do in some places , great customer service and the elderly bloke that works here is so friendly and polite , bar staff friendly too, highly recommend and will definitely go back .

Been here tonight best service ever! Had a steak that I asked for rare and its was a bit chewy but the waiter fitzy came and seen I didn’t eat he took it away and didn’t day anything came back with a full refund bless him But forget the refund hes was really nice man deserves a promotion what a lad !!!

Been here today with my husband and three kids for food after a busy day at adventure valley. The place it's self was clean and tidy with a nice atmosphere, staff where lovely and friendly. There is also quite a bit for the kids to do wile they wait for food which is always a bonus. We ordered two kids chicken nugget meals with corn on the cob and chips. chicken breast with cheese & BBQ sauce on top, sweet potato fries with cheese and pulled pork on top , coleslaw and corn on the cob. Spare ribs with chips coleslaw and corn on the cob and a burger (can't remember the name) chips with cheese and pulled pork on top. Four diet cokes and a lemonade coming to just over £40. Portions where a nice size and the food came within around twenty minutes. The food was the best pub food I have ever had especially the sweet potato Fries �The chicken was nice and moist. Burger and ribs where tasty and good quality meat. Would definitely return and would like to try the pizzas they looked and smelled amazing when we where watching them being made.!

An excellent range on the menu for both kids and adults! Dessert menu was amazing! Food was delicious and staff and manager was very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely recommend and be back again!

Amazing pub, great friendly atmosphere. The food menu is one of the best I've seen. I love the pizzas and that you can half and half them. I also love the twist on the salads, makes them more exciting.

We used to love going here as its our local. The installation of TVs and louder music have stopped us going as much as we used to (cause we are old and liked the quieter atmosphere) but the staff and food are exceptional so we keep returning. Some Legendary staff, it's that kind of unique character you need when there are so many pubs around �

We had a fab lunch here yesterday and placed our booking for Xmas Lunch with family later in the month. Service was warm, helpful and friendly. The menu is great, offering a wide selection, which even suited a vegan guest for our festive lunch. The food was well presented and delicious. I didn’t give five stars only because I found the room temperature a little on the cold side.

First time here tonight was absolutely Choca, waited about hour for food but was understandable as how busy it was the staff were trying their best and food was lush!! Will defo be back

I wasn't having food at the Newton Grange just went along to help my daughter and her friend get out of the car park. The ice is like a sheet of glass hard to walk on and even harder to get out of their car park. My daughters friend had two small children with her and it took us a while to get out of the car park. Thank fully a young lad from the kitchen came out with some salt for the ground. Please be careful if parking and walking on it.

Food very good, service however was very sub standard. Lack of staff on a very busy Saturday with many tables not cleaned, glasses stacked to wash, etc. Decor could do with a makeover also

Disappointed by the staff (Fitz) attitude to our children being in the pub tonight, lovely sunny night so the pub was filled with families and their children. Remarks made in public about our children being inside while we sat outside was uncalled for and unjustified. I can appreciate they were busy but snide remarks from staff is unprofessional and unnecessary. Also it would help if they managed either end of their bar rather than only serving from one area.

Cheap and cheerful pub food, nothing to write home about. The food was cooked and presented well and the staff warm and friendly.

Went in on Thursday, it was sunny so the outside was busy, 40 minutes wait on food, I was happy to wait as I understand there were a lot of people to be served. When my Yankee Burger arrived, the chicken was so over cooked it was almost inedible (not what I expected when I’ve waited 40 minutes for it come), black in parts. My coleslaw looked like it was made 2 weeks ago and chips soggy. Nobody came to see if our food was okay and nobody even came into the area we were sat in to catch them to complain. So just ate what we could and left. I’m not one to complain but noticed others have complained about the service and food on Thursday.

Wish ide gone to toilets before I ate my meal , the toilets (ladies ) were filthy , don’t think they have been cleaned for months

What a disappointment! We had booked this to have a family Christmas meal, couldn't believe what was served to us. Not only did it look nothing like a Christmas dinner, it was freezing! We had to ask for extra veg and Yorkshire puddings which I thought would come with a dinner. Don't think we will be back

Terrible food was rubbish, drinks poor and staff (Fitz) has a terrible customer manner with snotty remarks and sarcastic comments . Won't be back

Tasteless food with items missing, and to top it off the waiter just said " oh for f*@ks sake" when he dropped something, in front of about 5 young kids.

Safe to say we won't be back when you move a family of 5 from a table for 2 lads to watch the football who weren't even having a meal we used to like the Newton grange it has changed so much and not for the better

I came here about a year ago and and the food was spot on. I popped in last night 28/5/17 and ordered some food and it wasn't up to scratch the chicken was dried up and the pit burger bun was stail let's just say the dog enjoyed the chicken minus the bones and the birds enjoyed the bun the staff seem spot on and didn't wait long at the bar or for the food to be served.

Haven’t had our food yet, but assume ‘Fitzy’ must have had a bad day as his attitude was very disappointing while taking our order. Our first time guests were amazed how rude he was. As were we.

Complete lack of communication and customer service! I have been to this pub many times but tonight was a joke. We waited an hour and ten minutes for food and we weren't even told there was a delay. It took them 40 minutes to bring over the cutlery and not a single apology for the delay of food. When it did come the orders weren't correct. My friends chicken wings came with a chilli dip which wasn't even an option!!! My chicken was supposed to come with coleslaw and crispy onions. It did not. The queue was out the door all night and I noticed another tables order came about half an hour apart so some were done eating before others got their food! Serious bad impression. I won't be coming back any time soon put it that way!

Called in for a meal very disappointing from a chain. Partners ribs where only warm and actually looked raw. Coleslaw looked like at least two days old which was just chopped ingredients and no sauce. Steak and ale pie great if you want a block of pastry with three lumps of meat in it.. wish we had looked at the reviews before calling... won’t be back..

Pulled pork salad that was clearly made from blended cheap pork mince or a tin of pedigree chum I was actually shocked when I told the waitress it was inedible she replied with I know it's not my favourite either and claimed it's only like that because of the honey. I'm no Gordon Ramsey but I know honey doesn't disintegrate meat into a pile of slop. I was offered a free pudding but after experiencing the chefs previous offerings I couldn't face it. Seeing as no refund was coming my way I let my boyfriend have the sticky toffee even that came out looking like a dried up school dinner. Safe to say I won't be going back
