Leon Cupra 280 in for a stage 1 CustomPRO punching out good figures, the car ran perfectly while on the dyno reaching 501nm, however when we tested it on the road afterwards we had to cap the torque down in the lower RPM while still maintaining the power higher up. So of course we spent more time on the car to perfect the tune to allow us to give as much power as possible while trying to protect the clutch as much as we can, all for £324. The owner is currently testing it on the road for a few weeks and reporting back to us with any findings.

This car leaves us today after spending a few hours perfecting the tune to adhere to the stock clutch that was in this car with a 56hp and a 49nm gain (valve open) originally we did have this car up to 440nm, but, to protect that clutch as much as possible we spent more time toning it back to give as much power that we could, without the clutch slipping under full load on the road.

Project Cupra report, the cupra amazed us how good it handled for being so close to stock, great day at cadwell with OpenTrack last Thursday running consistent 1:45’s using the cars built in onboard lap timer. First time driving the car and our driver got to grips with it very quickly, being passed and pulled away from once in the whole day and must’ve done at least 35-40 laps with a few good battles with various cars. Our software performed brilliantly throughout the day which we are pleased to hear. We did run into the occasional heat related issue due to running the stock intercooler however we’re now waiting on delivery for an airtecmotorsport intercooler and a racinglineperformance oil catch fan & management system. Plenty more to come with this car.

Another VW/Audi group 2.0tdi engine in for stage 1 CustomPRO tuning in this GTD 184 (Now @225bhp), again retaining the smooth power delivery with the factory software with amplified power all the way through the rev range, this one boasting gains of 42hp and 79nm for just £324.
