On Friday the 10th August (next Friday) we will not be opening until 1:00pm due to attending a close friend and work colleagues funeral.

We’re looking for a new potwasher. £8 an hour but applicants must be 18 or over due to health and safety. Roughly 30 hours a week. Please message on here if you’re interested. Thankyou.

got there at 3.50pm,nice time,not too full.Ordered small chicken dinner,mexican palmo,chicken wrap.We can all honestly say best meal we've had there!HUGE yorkshire puds,and certainly not a small dinner!Palmo to die for,and a gorgeous chicken and jalapeno wrap!5 stars!!

Well worth the wait, the portion size was huge and cooked to perfection, staff were polite and friendly will definitely be back.

This visit was the second time I’ve been to the poachers my first time was about month ago . I can honestly say best food I’ve had from any were else I’ve been .. big portions and excellent value for money excellent selection on menu .. friendly helpful staff ... my only issue with this place is I live about 20 miles away 😱😱.. but well worth the drive time .. 👍👍👍

Never had a bad meal yet fab and lovely staff too, been coming for 20 years . Sheila is a lovely woman love her banter. Probably just have to know how to take her . Tbh not many could run that bar the way she does considering how busy it is ! Would you all be as happy

First time myself, husband and 12 year old son has ever been here and the food was delicious. Big portions with plenty of taste. We will definitely be back again.

Fantastic!! People were so nice, the food was excellent and more than enough! Worth the trip �. Our waitress was very friendly and so was our greeter/server Rhys. Recommended 10/10

Very nice food and came out quick, service was good but they did make a few mistakes. Price is a little high but portion size and quality makes it well worth it.

The food is lovely the service is not the lady with the white hair behind the bar is extremely difficult with all customers not only my party .The waiting on staff & all the others are brilliant very helpfully .

My daughter had the fish and chips which she felt was lovely i had the mince and dumplings with vegetable's everything apart from the dumpling was lovely the dumpling was just hard as nails and tastles i would be reluctant to have it again we had a long wait for the meals to come and at the time we were there around 4 30 pm it wasnt extremely busy although i was disappointed in the dumpling i would go back as the overall food was nice so hopfuly my comments on the dumpling will be took on board and improved .we were there yesterday.

Food is brilliant and big portions. The waitress was very polite and good customer service the older lady does have a little bit of a bad attitude but I ignored it as It was my birthday and didn’t want to spoil anything.

Food 5 * and good portion sizes but the bar lady needs to learn some customer service skills ! She is so short with you, doesn't listen and is just well rude! Manners cost nothing huh! If she was alright with you would of been a higher score :) Waitress who brought the food to the table was good and helpful though.

We have visited your pub in Metal Bridge for many years and enjoy your food and we have also recommended you to many of or friends. However we called in tonight, 10 may 2018 and walked out after being spoken to in such a manner that many of the other customers were also taken aback. The woman (Sheila) who you have serving behind the bar is one of the most rude, arrogant and disrespectful people I have ever encountered. Normally it’s a standing joke with most people who visit your pub that she is a miserable, unpleasant and rude individual, however the way she spoke to me and my husband was the final straw.

This woman never smiles, never greets the customers and I am yet to hear her say thank you or please.

Unfortunately it will be a long time before we are back as the customer service she provides makes you feel like you are a burden and an inconvenience to her.

Sheila you are a disgrace to the pub trade!!!

Dog owners be aware that this pub is not dog friendly.after walking our 2 well behaved dogs, we called a pub today for food .. We went to the garden ( in the shade ) and we were told dogs were no longer allowed and only allowed at the side of pub ( were there was 1 old rickety bench) in full sun next to a bin ...we honestly couldn't believe it..think you need to rethink your policy ! It's a good job that no one else came in with a dog .. What would we do? All share one bench away from everyone like tramps
