We donŌĆÖt want to be the ones to scare people using this word in July but we are over half way through the year ­¤ś¼ I think weŌĆÖve managed to get through to most people on our Christmas 2018 list as it is now time that we take deposits to secure bookings. We are fortunate enough to have been fully booked for Christmas since January ­¤ś▒ and we have a long reserve list of people wanting tables if deposits are not paid and bookings secured. If you have got a table booked with us and ...have not yet paid then please pop in or call up and pay your deposit over the phone as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. This Thursday we are lucky enough to have the brilliant Kim Westgate with us, last time was her first time here and everyone had a great night and since people have asked about when sheŌĆÖs returning. Entrance is ┬Ż5 per person payable on the door and itŌĆÖs a 7:30pm start, we canŌĆÖt wait ­¤śĆ

So excited to have the fantastic Dog in a Box back with us on Saturday 21st July! These guys covered for us last minute early this year and blew our roof off, they were amazing, the atmosphere was electric and everyone wanted them back! Saturday 21st July 9pm start, not to be missed!

We've been coming here for several years now (and have also enjoyed a couple of special family events in the conservatory) Service is usually fast, friendly and efficient Food is tasty and good value. The ambience is cosy and has a welcoming,family atmosphere. We have a loyalty card and were thrilled to receive a Wedding Anniversary congratulations email. It offered us an opportunity to enjoy a starter or dessert on them when we went for our meal. Thanks Team Poachers you made our day!

We had a late Sunday lunch yesterday !! Very very nice indeed ’┐Į I had lamb -absolutely superb & my other half had the beef , which he said was very good . The chocolate melt in the middle with ice cream was a very generous portion & I would definitely recommend

We had Sunday lunch here yesterday. This was our first time in the Poachers Cottage. I can thoroughly reccomend this beautiful, friendly place. The food is outstanding, the serving was plentiful and well presented. This is a hidden gem. Very child friendly also. We booked last minute and on arrival the staff went out their way to find us a table. I will be returning mid week to sample another delight. Thankyou.

Thanks Terri for HannahŌĆÖs amazing 5th birthday party in your conservatory! Your food, adult snacks, teas and coffees and party bags were amazing! You took out all the stress. Perfect Sunday roast today. Very reasonable prices. Normally order the 16oz rump steak if we dine during the week and it's always perfect. Keep up the great work ’┐Į

I came on a Friday night for a birthday meal with the family and the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly

Have been here twice both times the food has been outstanding. There is something for everyone. On my last visit 5 of us had a variety of dishes meat, fish, and veggie. Everything arrived together and was nice and hot. You get what you pay for and more. I'll be back and highly recommend. PS the staff are so nice and friendly.

Gorgeous and value for money, gone a couple of times now and it's such a lovely pub. Telling loads of people about it not many places do food like the food served here, proper pub grub.

we always go on a sunday we always order lamb dinner i have no cabbige and my mam no peas so that was not on our dinners my dad has everything.

Dinner is the best i have ever had me myself not a fan of sunday dinners but at this place i am

Bit of a hike i think if a took the bus to get there as i myself live in walker with parents.

Been going here now for over 30 years and love the place but yesterday we had a family tea for my son before he went into hospital for his bone marrow transplant. It was a very important day for us all as it was the last time all the family (43 people) would get to see the bairn before he went in. All I can say is a massive thankyou to the staff for a brilliant night and the good was brilliant as always, we will see you again soon as normal lol

1st time we have been and came on a recommendation from a friend. Had a great meal, and it is genuinely home cooked food, not corporate mass produced rubbish. Sticky toffee pudding was delicious with lashings of scrummy custard and nice that I could order food without gravy (which is not always the case in some restaurants). Also love the fact that Sunday dinner is served all day and doesn't stop at 2pm like most places, especially great since we like to eat late on Sunday's. All in all, had a great meal and would definitely recommend to others.

Hi this was our second visit the food was good both times and the first time we went with my son and girlfriend and her dad and partner and if it wasn't for them we wouldn't of known about it and we will definitely be going back
