Join us this Friday as Beth Hopper returns to the Rooftop for the latest instalment in our Friday night acoustic series. We are proud to support north east talent

What a lovely place. We will certainly be going back there. The staff are the most helpful we have come across in a while. Special thanks to the ones who helped us load our gear in and out.

Went there today for the first time for lunch with my wife and 1 year old son, from entering we found the staff to be very friendly and attentive.

We ordered from the special lunch menu that we found to have an excellent selection of pizza's and pasta and also from the children's menu that was equally sufficient for our little boy.



The starters arrived in good time and were very tasty, my wife had the soup and I had the potato skins (good portion size).



The waitress asked while taking our order if we would like my son's pizza brought out with the starters,thought that was good idea as it kept the little man happy while we ate.



All the staff were very friendly and polite and interacted with my little boy making him laugh.



Mains arrived shortly after we finished our starters and they were beautiful, I can recommend the Marinara seafood pizza!



Portions were equally a good size,even had to ask for a takeaway box for half of our son's pizza and half of mine.



We also ordered ice cream that was on the children's meal deal £4.95 for a main and a desert can't grumble at that!



Price for what you get is very good,cheap to be honest and we will definitely be returning!

I had my 40th birthday party there last night and the staff who looked after us were lovely! Tom and Chelsea helped from beginning to end and made my night perfect! Everyone had a brill time, thank u! X

Good night at the rooftop as always for a few causal pints. Unfortunately some people couldn't handle their drink. However dealt with in a very professional manner by the bar staff and bouncers.

Good food at the restaurant. Can't complain but I'd agree with other feedback about the service at the bar like. Although not as bad for me as some others I've read

Venue brilliant. I had my baby shower here and I was exactly what I wanted it to be. Staff not the most organised but were very helpful & approachable. Nothing was a problem. Thank you for a lovely afternoon �

The bouncers were polite and courteous holding doors open, that goes a long way! particularly when you struggle to walk at times! The people there were very courteous and gave great support, I was not going to go out because i've been struggling really bad walking due to a motor bike crash where I broke spine and having strangers holding doors open and supporting me, that made my night that people were aware that I was struggling, thank you! Would of been better that food was on offer on new year, but overall great place! Nice people!

Would be five stars but for goodness sake the growth market is ipa and real ales yet none out of 5 were working

Nothing special beer is OK empty yesterday I've been in on a nighttime when it's busier

Nice place and friendly staff .But NO real ales on that night .Shame

The bar was fine but when you order food they got it all mixed up some of the group we're there at 6 45 by 8 o'clock had no food some came in later got food first it was shambles no table numbers so they did not know who ordered what never again

The attitude of one of the bar staff Thomas stinks , if you don't like what I do go and drink some where else is what I was told to do because I dot like rugby , I won't be going back.

Me and my friend called in after work yesturday afternoon and were served by a lovely young man called Tom he was so nice x

It’s sad to say but the place is going down hill over the past month or two

I love the rooftop bar as a rule but lately the staff on the night I go have changed. They don't smile they are disinterested and make me want to not come back: normally they have some great staff but lately meh I don't want bad customer service

Always been my favourite pub to go watch newcastle games � BUT I was there on Sunday to watch Brighton v Newcastle, different staff, took an age to get served - I pulled the barman when he went to serve a group of guys who arrived a good 5 mins after me --his answer "I don't know who's next " my answer " a good bar person always knows who's next" --- I proceeded to watch the staff , laughing with mates who were sat at bar nodding heads when they were ready for a refill � absolute joke therefore I won't be back neither will my hubby & son who were with me

If there was an option for zero stars this would still be too much! In our 12 years of marriage this is easily in the top 2 worst experiences we've ever had at a restaurant! Only went in for the 2 course lunch menu, but after a very average bruschetta starter (tomatoes not fresh) we then enjoyed half an hour of watching chefs dancing in the kitchen and staff combing hair in full view of customers. To cap it all off after seeing a couple who came after us being served there main courses, we then observed Chefs jollying it up whilst serving 4 dishes to staff on their break. That was the tipping point for us as they had clearly forgotten about us, or didn't really care, so we ended up leaving and getting a pasty at Greggs next door.

TO SUMMARISE: Service appalling. Place is pretty filthy with food on walls, cobwebs and thick dust on extractor fan above our heads. Food, - well apart from a pretty average starter we can't comment on the rest of the food because we never received it. However, we did enjoy our Greggs pasty :-)

WILL NEVER go back nor recommend this place to anyone.

Booked a table for 5 walked from the novatel in the pouring rain and one of our party had a broken leg. Arrived drenched only to be told the kitchen was closed. Why where we not informed the kitchen was closing as we would not have bothered took us 15 minutes to walk there. Shocking service and just a oh sorry the kitchens closed.
