While other people crave stodgy food after a few too many gins for me it’s the best halloumi skewers in Sunderland!! The only place to find them is here, lovely fresh salad and super tasty. The kids love their menu choices and particularly the ice creams. Today we were a little earlier in beating the lunch time rush and the staff were fab, they took time to talk to the kids and sat next to them to talk about their lunch.....a nice touch ��Happy kids = happy parents �

Went on Sunday as me and my daughter wanted to treat my husband to Father’s Day tea. Such a fantastic experience not only did all the Dad’s get a treat but the breakfast was unbelievable. We couldn’t have asked for a better morning on Father’s Day. The staff were superb especially as it was extra busy with a lot of large groups in. Can’t wait to visit again. Thank you.

We were in the scullery yesterday and it was very busy but a staff member who had finished her shift helped us find a seat which wasn't easy as there were 4 adults a toddler a baby in a pram! We were served really quickly and one member of the staff even went back into the kitchen for our cheeky toddler who had asked for another strawberry to go with his cake, I thought the staff we were polite helpful and friendly....even after getting bossed about by said toddler......we will be back x

We have just tried this place for the first time and were blown away! We sat down outside and someone was over straight away to welcome us and to also tell us to order at the bar when we are ready. The food was fantastic and the service was really friendly and we will 100% be back again! Loved our experience and can’t wait to eat our way through the rest of the menu. Thank you xxx

Visited on Sunday morning for a family birthday treat and we were looked after by attentive and helpful staff.

The meals were excellent value and the kiddies meals were spot on as well.

10/10 Well Done to all the staff

Tried here for the first time today. Food was lovely. We had the breakfast sandwich special which was £2. 1 x sausage sandwich and 1x bacon and sausage sandwich plus either tea or coffee. The children opted for chips and juice. I liked that I could upgrade my drink to a latte for only £1 extra. We were seated straight away and the waitress gave the children colouring activities (which was a godsend). Staff very friendly and polite and we will definitely be returning to sample other delights on the menu!

Quality top notch!!! Very quirky and clean and friendly and in a primed location, will be back!!! Staff are quality and enhance the experience superbly and a great choice of menu is well presented ������������

Our 3rd time here for breakfast whilst on our break at work and plenty more to come the price is spot on the food is fresh and delicious and we’ve never had to wait l no even when busy and the staff are always friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend

Myself and family visited today for my sister's birthday and loved it. Staff were very friendly and attentive, food was delicious and surroundings were very clean and comfortable. Loved the little touches in the toilet too such as toddler stool and seat, perfect for my 2 1/2 year old as we're currently potty training. Will definately return xx

Low Fell Scooter Club had a ride out today to The Scullery. Wow you wont be disappointed! From start to finish we were made to feel very welcome. The food, surroundings and the staff were exceptional. The special touches on the tables for Father’s Day were a lovely touch. Thank you so very much ����

First time We tried today afternoon tea was absolutely amazing staff are really nice went out there way even was a � card on the table food was amazing aswell as the cocktail � % reccomend fab view aswell perfect �X

Called in this morning for a breakfast and a latte. Excellent food and excellent value for money, also the ladies were welcoming and friendly. We even got a small Easter treat of some lovely biscuits with a greeting on. Perfect...thank you xx

Been down here today and was over the moon with the food and lovely lady called Hayley she make my little boy very welcome as am bit wary taking him anyway as he finds it hard to sit and very loud at times but her warm talking etc to him make our still easier so that make my boy comfortable and he even cuddle Hayley thanks again definitely will be back

Absolutely fantastic! Came for breakfast, the staff are amazing and friendly, the food was gorgeous! They really go to extra lengths to provide an incredible service! All of this and an amazing view to go with it. Will 100% be back as often as possible �

A great place to eat & drink with a fabulous view ! The friendly staff catered for our every need . The food was excellent and at a very reasonable price , I would recommend The Scullery to anyone �

We went on good Friday not expecting to get a table so quick! We had a coffee and fish goujons served with home cooked chips salad slaw and dressings. It was lovely! Staff were really pleasant and the food was great! Relaxed atmosphere on such a very busy day! I have only one thing to moan about and it’s a personal thing so not a criticism! It was served on a roof tile. I felt as if more of my lunch ended up on the table than was one the slate. It looked great but not practical! I still ate it off the table👍👍!

Waited half an hour for food, numerous people came in afterwards and were eating before us. Wrong cutlery brought out. Staff more interested in playing with small children than customer satisfaction. Not good value for money. Will not be eating here again

Unfortunately my experience here wasn’t great today � visited with my husband and two children. Sat down and had to get back up to ask for menus. Ordered pasta and side of chips and garlic bread. Pasta came out it was very cold in parts but red hot in others. (From experience I would suggest this was microwaved) we then waited another 15 minutes for the chips and garlic bread. The kids had finished eating there’s by this point so I asked for it all to be sent back. We ended up leaving without eating. The manager came over and apologised and she was very pleasant but I get really embarrassed when I complain so i felt a little alkward. Lovely location shame the food and service wasn’t up to scratch �

Just been in, ordered Halloumi and Veg skewers, what I got was a Halloumi Salad with 2 bits of dry putts bread and no dressing on the salad. Initially we walked in and out first thoughts were to walk back out, floor filthy with food, not to mention the cutlery on the floor!
