Went today for an 8 year old football party. Well organised, helpful and polite staff. Excellent coach kept all 18 kids on track and involved. Loads of food and drink for kids. Couldn't ask for a better party would recommend for children's party!
We had been married in the Dominican Republic which was perfect, so I was nervous at our big family/friends wedding celebration over here as I thought a party at the Domes would not compare. I need not have worried, the room looked perfect for a wedding, Abby, Beth and the team worked their socks off for us. Big shout out to Richard the head chef and Jordan, the food exceeded our expectations as did Richards friendly personality when serving our guests.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!

Myself and my fiancé have just hired the function room for our engagement party which took place yesterday. After being previously let down by another venue last minute who we had booked with a month in advance (the golden lion) the staff of the sports domes really helped us out a great deal and saved the party! the room was lovely the staff where fantastic and they even gave us a free bottle of champagne at the end of the night. Thank you!
My little girls party was here in October. Was fab value for money food was brill and lots of it all the guests loved it and my little girl had a fantastic 8th ice skating party thank you
I wanted to write a review to say thank you to the staff at the Domes for my sons football party today. My son was very poorly and the staff were so understanding and helpful! And thank you to Aaron who hosted my sons party, he made sure the kids had the best time whilst my son was taking breaks due to his sickness. I cannot thank you all enough!
I took my 12 year old son to play 18 holes on one of the simulators. We played Hazeltine and had a great time. The staff were extremely helpful, golf balls to warm up with and even brought our drinks from the bar!

I had my sons birthday party here today, it was fantastic. The staff made Joe feel special from the minute he walked in....VIP area for them to sit in. The football coaches were great and accommodated the extra numbers. Then they loved the food, presentations and football signing. I would highly recommend it. Thank you very much xx
Had our sons 8th birthday at The Domes. A football party, from arrival the kids were made to feel like Premier League stars, with the VIP area. Into the Domes and Aaron (the coach) was superb from start to finish. The food a awards presentation was spot on and all the kids enjoyed the day. Definitely recommend this place.
Had our sons 10th birthday party here today and it was fantastic. The boys were all extremely happy and the guy that was doing bubble football with them was absolutely fantastic. He even had our 4yr old son having a little kick around and doing little games while the older boys were busy doing various other things. I can not recommended them more highly
Had my granddaughter sixth birthday party . Staff were great everything all ready for you very very enjoyable � the young lad was great with the kids and happy to help you with anything x food was good kids eat it and the cake was lovely �
Had an absolutely fantastic time at my hubbys surprise party! The domes could not have done anymore for us they were fantastic about every little detail I wanted (I am very particular)fabulous room and exceptional service throughout would thoroughly recommend them thanks guys x
First visit 'up' th the north east. Had maxs birthday party here and the young lad did ever so well with my teenagers! Overall fab time and great effort from this enthusiatic lad!
Excellent function room with friendly staff, who pulled out all stops decorating room, tables and chairs for our 2nd family & friends party night, definitely recommend for all celebrations �
Rang up twice this week to enquire about golf dome times and have been told different days and times each time. The google search states on their web page it's open 9am till 9pm Mon to Fri and 9am till 7pm Sat-Sun. (I'm asuming it means the football domes as the golf dome was shut on first arrival) Im disappointed after promising the kids twice they'd be going on the false information provided.
Went on Saturday and it was awful my dinner was cold even the cup of tea was cold the young girl came and asked if every thing was ok I said no my dinner is cold and asked if they had a microwave to warm it up she took it away and it came back just the same but brought a hot gravy bowl which wasn't any use with a cold dinner I dipped the meat in the gravy and left the rest when another girl came to take the plates she asked me if every thing was ok as I had left all of it I said no it was cold she just took them and said you should of said I would have warmed it up for you which I said it all ready been warmed once .not a happy customer at all.??? The 1 star was for the knife and fork which was clean
We're at an engagement party tonight. They have run out of lager, tonic, ice, bottles of Prosecco and heaven only knows what else. My drinks bill has ranged from £12 to £18 for the same order!! The service is unbelievably slow and at times virtually nonexistent. If I was the only person who was complaining about the service I wouldn't be commenting. Unfortunately, the main of the guests are experiencing the same problem.
You have a lovely venue here, please either employ experienced bar staff or have more staff working.
Closed after driving from Etherley so a 6 year little girl can play, but no mention of it on your Facebook page! It’s not on
Booked and paid for a table for cakes for the Xmas fair on Sunday 26th Nov. Phoned all day Saturday to confirm. Received a message on Sunday morning saying it was cancelled. I had spent 2 day baking and laid out a lot of money. All the stuff would of had to be destroyed if it wasn't for the people at the wintertide festival (who were lovely). To put salt in wound the person at the domes messaged saying as a good will gesture bring some biscuits up and they will buy them?. Oh and haven't had our money back yet?
Been to a party tonight lovely room but the bar service was bad 15 mins wait and only 2 people got served whilst I was there and there was 4 barmaids. Barmaids very miserable didn't know what they were doing and got charged a different price every time we went to bar. Not great service at all
