Wow - Sunday lunch was amazing!

We were shown straight to our tables, waitresses really helpful and friendly. Menu offered lots of choice.

We ordered 3 roast lamb and 1 roast beef. The portions were incredibly generous and lots of fresh veg too. An extra jug of gravy was an added bonus!!

We will definitely return, highly recommended.

We went today for the first time for my mothers birthday. Such a lovely pub and restaurant, we will definitely be visiting again. A great selection of beers and ales. The food was scrumptious and the staff very friendly. It is also dog friendly.

We love the Stables and go quite regular. Food is always fabulous with not just the run of the mill menu which doesn’t become boring. Drinks are always served in nice glasses and the staff are alway very welcoming and friendly. Well recommended.

Very enjoyable. Good choice of meals, with some slightly unusual things, so, something for most tastes, I would have thought. As well as meals, good choice of substantial sandwiches. Staff extremely helpful, with just the right level of attentiveness, without being overbearing. Price moderate. Comfortable surroundings. We will be back.

The perfect plane to relax and enjoy a night or afternoon! We love everything about this place including the amazing food and lush staff. It’s like home from home ~ I’d go in my pyjamas if I dare 😛

My husband and I popped into the Stables Pub last night (Wednesday) for a couple of drinks 🍸 🍺 The staff were all very friendly, and the pub had a lovely welcome feel to it with a buzzy atmosphere. We were so impressed by everything that we’ve booked the family in for lunch on Friday.

Hope their experience is just as good for them as it was for us!

I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the staff at The Stables for a lovely meal for my Grandad Arthur’s 88th birthday! The food was lovely, as was the service.

My grandad looks forward to going to The Stables everyday for a coffee and a chat with the staff. They all look after him so well, he’s always telling us about them and how often he goes there. We can’t thank them enough for his birthday, the decorations they put up and his card & present. He had a perfect night!

First visit tonight meeting up with friends after a a very long time, what a fantastic pub lovely decor and surroundings the staff were lovely , very friendly it was quite a large group (14 ) of us ... The table was all ready for us and the staff very attentive ... Fantastic choice on the menu and the food was absolutely lovely I had Salmon on lime and chilli risotto lovely ... My friend is so picky! She had the roast beef dinner and she loved it ...( a very rare comment ) I will definitely be back there it's a great place

Fantastic pub with Landlord and Perroni always on draft, great value tapas dishes, excellent choice menu always a great atmosphere with a glowing fire or a lovely beer garden in summer, great staff and location

Always enjoy coming here. Good home-cooked food with a few unusual things on the menu if you fancy something different. Real log fire, stone walls and a lovely ‘real pub’ atmosphere. They say pubs are closing down, but the Stables proves that if you offer good food, a modern take on traditional pub decor and friendly service, then the people will most definitely come!

A hidden gem! Food was excellent with some fantastic Scottish dishes, service was brilliant and I loved the little added extras like the snuggles if you want to sit outside in the cold. Would highly recommend

Everyone at our table seemed to enjoy their choice of food and a good time was had by all!

This is my local pub. And am I glad! The food is excellent - except for the panackelty. Voted by an ex-pat and others as disappointing, watery and ‘not like mother made it!’ Everything else on the menu is lovely. I particularly like the haggis and neeps starter, and two of my friends regularly have the pate and chutney. This week I was hosting my three grandchildren two of whom enjoyed a traditional roast, but were disapppointed that their favourite chocolate fudge brownie was all gone, at 1.10. I regularly go with friends - any excuse: birthdays, farewells, celebrations, or none at all. The staff are most helpful and pleasant. Parking is fine. The music isn’t too loud, and the interesting eclectic articles scattered around are fascinating, and make good conversational points of interest. I remember going for riding lessons there and still feel the echoes of that more rural time. In chilly weather the large, central open fire is wonderful. Go there!

We ordered beef we got pork.i wouldn't have had pork if I'd new.but decided just to keep it.it was bit dry. Average food.been before it was spot on.so dissapointed on this visit .
