We've just returned home after a 2 night stay at The Guards van and it was AMAZING!! Such a unique and relaxing place, with amazing countryside on the doorstep. The hosts are really friendly, and the breakfast basket they provided was outstanding. We were lucky enough to see the sunshine and got out on a lovely walk, made all the better by the toasty hot tub awaiting our return!! Absolute bliss! Will definitely be returning.

We spent a weekend at the Guard's Van, and it was all too short! It's compact, but lovely, and makes excellent use of the space. So much attention to detail inside, and in the service from the hosts, Jim and Louisa. To have a private hot tub outside just makes it perfect.

The area is lovely, as well - we took a walk into the hills, saw hen harriers, nesting pheasants (with babies running around), and heard so much birdsong, we couldnt recognise it all!

We will definitely come back - and spend even more time in that hot tub.

User

We have just returned from a wonderfully relaxing break in the Guards Van which was absolutely first class. The attention to detail was second to none. The breakfast hamper was a lovely touch. The Northumberland coastline is just 1/2 hr away and is truly breath-taking, you can explore then come back and relax in the hot tub under the stars. The only down side was having to leave....

User

We had a fantastic weekend away at The Guards Van to celebrate my birthday. The van is so cosy, with great attention to detail and the hot tub was brilliant! Our breakfast hamper was delicious too - highly recommend and we're already thinking of staying again! :)

User

Very nice clean tidy house and garden which the dogs loved running around and playing in! Lovely area not too far to go to most places. Hot tub was an added bonus and great in the evening after we had been out for walks. Thanks for a lovely stay.

User

This place is beautiful. After a warm. Welcome I spent a weekend here with a group of friends. We arrived the Friday and although the hot tub wasn't ready until the Saturday we didn't mind because we spent the evening inside the cosy warehouse building. It's only an hour away from where I live but it really feels miles away from reality. I'm planning on booking the guards van one weekend for myself and my partner. Would recommend this place to anyone..

User

The Warehouse is such a relaxing place to be. The hot tub is brilliant. Great for passing away the hours and watching the birds and rabbits in the garden. Early morning in the sun is a great time to go to the table at the end of the garden for a peaceful coffee

User

Such a peaceful place. Little bit of paradise not far from home. Lovely family owned properties with all the nice finishing touches needed for a perfect get away. Defo a place I’d return over again

User

Stayed here for a girly weekend. Amazing setting, hot tub was lovely. Had a fantastic weekend. Definitely going back!!

User

Stayed for a week in the Warehouse with our two retrievers who thought the garden was wonderfull, lots of rabbits to entertain the boys & we even saw two deer in the field behind us one evening just before sunset. We were very impressed by the whole set up & Louise & Jim were very friendy & accomodating hosts. Have already booked to go again next year. !! In the middle of the countryside but only half an hours drive to Bamborough Castle on the coast & other tourist hotspots, its ideally located to explore Northumberlands gems. The Tankerville Arms in Wooler is only 3 miles away & perfect for an evening meal if you dont want to drive too far after a day out & the Cod & chips are to die for. Had an amazing week & really enjoyed the hot tub !!

User

Spent 3 nights in the Guards Van, could not fault it. Brilliant weekend away, hosts fab, breakfast hamper brilliant and the hot tub is just what you need after a busy day sight seeing. Would highly recommend staying here.

User

Our stay at the Guards Van exceeded all our expectations, such a wonderful place for a romantic getaway! Star gazing in the hot tub at night...fantastic! Not forgetting the lovely, friendly and helpful hosts, we shall definitely return and certainly recommend this little gem to our friends x

User

Myself and my boyfriend spent a luxurious 3 nights in the guards van and it was completely perfect. We arrived to a warm welcome and a toasty hot tub. We took trips to the coast and spent the evenings watching the stars. Can't think of the last time we felt so relaxed, as we didn't have to think about a thing during our stay. The breakfast hamper was unbelievably good too!

User

Just returned home from a 2 night stay at the guards van highly recommended we chilled after our Wedding couldn't have asked for anything nicer stunning views and a beautiful breakfast hamper with a bottle of bubbles and a lush boiling hot tub..

User

Had a fantastic chilled weekend here. Stunning location and the Guards Van is so comfy and cosy. Added extra of the hot tub is brilliant and the breakfast hamper was amazing. Loved it all.

User

Got to be one of the best places in the world to look at the stars! Especially when you're in a hot tub with an ice cold beer!!

User

Beautifully situated property. Absolutely stunning. Ample living space in this quaint accommodation. Garden and hot tub a bonus, as even without these the building itself has so much to offer. Warm greeting on arrival... heartedly recommended

User

Back home now after a thoroughly chilled weekend here in the Guard's Van. Would highly recommend it - beautiful surroundings, excellent accommodation where the attention to detail really enhances your stay. Friendly, welcoming owners who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. If you're thinking about booking - do it, it's worth every penny! Loved every minute and will hopefully be back again.
