Back in September I had the pleasure of making my niece's wedding cake - and the nerve wracking job of delivering to the venue 180 miles away in Warwick! Chocolate ganached mud cakes, marzipan covered fruit cake, vanilla and lemon sponge cakes covered all tastes hopefully! Gold lustre, teal marbling, pheasant feathers and ears of wheat all co-ordinated with the elements of their wedding theme... Hi folks! Harrys' christening cake delivered yesterday to Middleton Lodge Estate, so pleased his super little airplane stayed upright en-route!

Gluten free cake anyone?! I've been doing a trial run for a future event so if anyone could use this for a celebration this weekend or just because... please let me know! It's a gluten free chcolate sponge with vanilla butter icing, decorated with white chocolate & freeze dried raspberries, gold leaf, raspberry and coconut meringues and delicious macarons from Robineau Patisserie...
As my husband Kevin is very courageously taking to the skies tomorrow to do a tandem skydive to raise money for the charity Breast Cancer Now anything you're willing to offer will be passed on as a donation to this very worthwhile cause...

We didn't even meet Karen but the communication was easy and straight forward. We were impressed with the photos on the website and took a gamble on the taste being as good. Our beautiful cake didn't disappoint it was fabulous. Highly recommend. Paul and Louise Lindsay @ Wynyard Hall 27/08/15

Karen created a fabulous Alice in Wonderland themed cake for my recent Mad Hatters Tea Party 60th birthday party .It was a gift from a friend and so I was unaware of how the cake would look until the day .....it was magnificent .! I really didn't want to cut it , but when I did it tasted fabulous too. Thank you Karen you are a star xx

I've had three cakes from Karen, two christening and one 40th birthday cake and all three were amazing. Karen is lovely and a polite, professional service is had throughout. Would definitely recommend The cake works.

I'm writing this in my sisters profile, my name is Sarah and my wedding was August 25th. Karen is welcoming, friendly and also professional. We asked Karen for a three tier wedding cake, with white flowers and vines for decoration and an ivory icing to cover. It was chocolate cake for the bottom tier, lemon cake in the middle and carrot cake for the top tier. The cake tasted and looked amazing, everyone commented on how good it was and took some home, it was a huge success!. We would definitely recommend you to everyone we know and thank you so much again :) xxx

Gorgeous frozen themed cake for my daughters fifth birthday! It was beautifully decorated and tasted lovely. Everyone commented upon it and I was so pleased with it I'm already trying to find an excuse to get the Alice in wonderland themed one I've seen on the website! Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Fantastic service and truly beautiful cake. Our wedding cake not only looked amazing with great attention to detail but we also had lots of comments about how delicious it was too! Would definitely recommend to anyone, thank you!
