This is Theo, who's 1st sign is *more*. Here is one of his signing stories ...
Theo had a sick spell in the night which his parents presumed was a bug so they didn’t offer him his usual milk. Theo obviously felt otherwise and made it very clear by signing ‘more’ that he wanted his milk. Sure enough when he had it, he kept it down and there was no more sickness, so his parents realised it must have just been something that he had eaten that made him sick!
... In the morning, he was playing in the living room and started signing ‘more’. His Mumnmy said and signed back to him ‘more milk’ and he grinned from ear to ear!
His Mummy said "It always amazes me how helpful signing is, especially when they are poorly and even when they only know 1 sign, they find lots of ways to use it to communicate what they want!!"

One of my TinyTalk Mums is part of the team behind this mindfulness workshop during pregnancy. The next one will be held in March. What a wonderful way to give yourself some time and care. Suitable for expectant mums and partners. All of the details are at www.thekindmind.co.uk

I'm so *sorry* the painters were in our venue this morning. Luckily, they didn't disturb our room, but I'm sorry about the smell. The venue hadn't pre-warned me (or any other classes) that they would be in all week. 🙈🤔❄ Still, it looks smarter and cleaner!! 👍

❄ Look at the temperature this morning ❄
Let's all sign *ICY* - clawed hands face down are drawn towards your body.

Look at Myiesha signing *rabbit* 🐇 She received a certificate for 20+ signs today, and in the last 2 weeks has signed 20+ more! Well done, Myiesha. You are on an amazing communication roll!! 👏😍👏😍👏

After 4 and a half years of running my own little business, I believe this to be true ... and I'm starting to accept that I might be doing alright ...💜

👇 these certificates are PLASTIC FREE. Yes ... I'm now printing certificates on card, and have ditched the laminating pouches. I hope you like them, and I hope it will help Mother Earth a little. I forgot to take photos in our 10am class 🙈 But here's Penelope and I having some selfie fun with her 150+ sign certificate!! 🌟 And she's already on her way to her 175th sign certificate 💫 WOWZAS!!

Remember when Olivia, a midwife from the RVI, attended our classes last term to find out about your birthing experiences within the last 2 years? Well ... they have made a postnatal care specific survey for the mums and dads based on comments about postnatal care. If you would like to share your views with them, we know it will go towards improving services for the future. Thank you 😀 https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/7DFCNQF< br>

One of my TinyTalk Mums has set this FB page up for her work. If you have links with primary schools this may be of particular interest - Teaching Trees Northumberland
And for all of those other clever people I know who run their own business, or make things, or build things, or write things ... please leave a comment / link, below and share the love of what you do 💜

We've been attending TT in Jesmond since my baby boy was 5 months. We love it! He's now 9 Months and although we are still waiting for his 1st sign when I sign to him his reaction is great, it's as though the sign gives my words more meaning. I hope to continue with him for some time yet and that Tiny Talking helps him to express himself as he grows. Highly recommend.

We have enjoyed Tinytalk so much, it's such a great way to communicate with your little ones! Emma has been wonderful.

Verity and I are just finishing our Tiny Talk classes with Emma in Jesmond. Verity was 5 months when we began and now at 16 months she is using lots of signs regularly. Not only have the lovely classes been something to genuinely look forward to every week, the skills that we learnt have helped Verity be understood (avoiding much frustration) and have been so much fun to use in story time and play too. Thank you Emma, we will miss you!

Tiny Talk undoubtedly has been one the best classes I have taken Ariana to. Hopefully, she will be a bilingual baby and the signs is helping her to associate the words in both languages. No need to say I am learning alongside her and it's so much fun for both of us.

Last but not least, Emma is a fantastic teacher and everyone loves her!

My daughter started attending Jesmond classes at 4 months. She's almost 17 months old now and I simply can't imagine what our lives would be like had we not attended these classes. Nancy uses over 30 signs. She's a little chatterbox & uses the signs to reinforce her words as she improves her pronunciations. We love being able to communicate with her so well and even wider family pick up on her signs to help develop her relationships. Signing helps reduce frustrations. These classes have exceeded our expectations and I would encourage all new parents to attend!

My daughter and I loved going to Tiny talk. Emma is a fantastic teacher. The classes are relaxed, fun and educational. There's even time for a cup of tea and biscuit which gives us Mum's a chance to chat and the children time to play. I'm looking forward to returning with my second child.

Me and my son attended Tiny Talk in Jesmond for approximately 14 months. It was by far our best baby group. I recommend it to anyone looking for new classes! Emma is a fabulous teacher, making everyone feel so welcome and at ease. The class was so friendly and I loved learning new signs each week to teach my son. It has taken the frustration out of knowing what he is trying to tell me (sometimes!) and I do believe it has helped bring his speech on. We were sad to leave the class.

User

I haven’t been doing the class long but I really love it! From the moment we arrived at our first session we felt so comfortable and welcome. The class is really relaxed but you do learn lots. Emma is a brilliant teacher and I would recommend the class to anyone.

User

Everything about this class is brilliant and I can’t recommend it highly enough! I attended from when my daughter was 4 months to 2 years and the benefits were huge for both of us. The signing was so useful from when she first started signing ‘milk’ at 9 months to using signs to help us understand her, as her speech developed. I’ll never forget when I saw her happily looking at a book and signing frog when she saw one on the page, it was like she was reading the book to herself! The class is perfectly structured with a variety of activities to keep the children entertained. Emma is a brilliant teacher and really creates a lovely atmosphere where you can relax and make friends. The classes totally kept me sane, through the slightly scary time of becoming a new parent. We’re certainly going to miss it!
