Well it’s September so we have the season end in sight. Still plenty to do but maybe a little rest is due.
Here’s a few pics of what we have been up to recently.

We have had a relatively quiet weekend. An intimate wedding in Great Ayton with a single tipi and another single tipi for a large bar at Beamish Live festival.
To be honest we are enjoying the slight break in craziness

We had to work with the space we were provided with for this weekends wedding.
Not one of our own weddings but one for a venue.
Good job we don’t do problems.

It’s been busy out there and this lovely summer is making these great events awesome.

It’s been a very busy week at TipiChic HQ with two lovely weddings to make magical. First it was Derwent manor for two tipis with Oak doors then our old favourite Angrove Park Camping where we built a cluster of three tipis.
We are worn out now... 😉

In late March we had the pleasure of building in this beautiful location near Gibside chapel. The owners of this site have a stunning holiday cottage to rent which is just off to the left of this image.

If so please note, we have been unable to build the pair of linked tipis outside the wedding barn due to the amount of wet ground. (This isn’t the normal spot for outdoor weddings but the only spot close to the wedding barn).
... We have found a patch of ground amongst the trees with room for our chill out tipi so we have had to build that instead.

We had a double tipi for our wedding at northshire and it was amazing! All the guests were impressed and it fitted our seaside theme well as we were able to decorate as we wished. Thank you for making our wedding day amazing!

The whole team of TipiChic are really lovely down to earth people, you have loads of questions - "no problem", you want something different - "no problem", you want honest answers - "no problem" you want Yorkshire prices - "no problem".. Nothing was too much trouble and all the little extras helped so much when it came to dressing the tipis, we barely had to add any additions as it was fabulous as it was. Thank you so much again. Just wanted to say thanks to James and the team! The tipis looked amazing on our wedding day (despite the rain). It was such an easy process booking and planning with you, and you delivered a great service... can't recommend you enough!

Just had my wedding with Tipi Chic. James has been brilliant from start to finish even help me to convince my mum and dad that a tipi wedding would work. Everyone has said to me how magical the day was. We had 2 big tipis and a snug. I had about 140 guests and there was loads of room ! I would also recommend getting one of the new bar boxes. Kirsten who does the bar was brilliant no request was to big for any of them.

Definitely recommend for a wedding just wish I could do it all again ! Thankyou xx

James and the crew were absolutely fantastic at our wedding, which used two tipis and a chill out tent. They were incredibly easy to deal with in the planning stages and in discussing our ideas and requirements, and couldn't have been more accommodating on the day with the furniture and additional extras they provided, giving more than was expected. The chill out tipi was a fantastic addition, and absolutely shouldn't be overlooked. Really good guys, and incredibly professional. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again, and the addition of Kristen's horsebox bar was the icing on the cake and made them a one-stop shop for all we needed

James and the Tipichic team were amazing throughout the planning and execution of our special day! Every detail thought of and nothing was too much trouble! The Tipi's were the perfect setting for our quirky wedding reception and made the day for our guests! Outstanding guys, my only concern is I now need to come up with another special enough occasion for an event in a tent!

James and his wonderful team built 3 Tipis last weekend for our wedding. The Tipis were meant to be built fully on the Thursday but due to very bad winds it couldn't be done due to safety - They had a plan B and were very reassuring. The team worked unbelievably hard on the Friday to get everything done and sorted for us - They literally created the wedding of our dreams. The work and effort James and put in is simply amazing, Everyone is so friendly and lovely. From the start of our wedding planning with enquiries to the big day James was superb - nothing was a bother for him or his team, support was given at all times and helped us with pointers for other aspects of the wedding. Tipichic created the most magical wedding that exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you so much James and you fantastic team for everything!!

James and his team were truly amazing, from the very first phone call they were an absolute dream to deal with, a lovely, professional and personal company. The unique and beautiful tipi had everyone talking on our big day, it even became our ceremony venue as the North Yorkshire weather threw everything it could at us. A massive thank you to you all, would recommend these guys without a shadow of a doubt.

James and his team were first rate from initial contact through to the day after the wedding. Nothing was an issue for them and were a breeze to deal with. They are a great company and a great team who kept us updated throughout. Would recommend to anyone.

James and his team put together 2 giant tipi’s at our wedding venue in Northumberland. They turned our venue into the most amazing venue we could have imagined! His team were so professional and nothing was a problem for him. He supplied everything we needed to top of our day! I would 100% recommend Tipi chic to anyone and take this opportunity to thank him and his team for all their hard work

James and his crew were amazing! Not only on the day they put the tipi up for us, but also in the lead up to the wedding. No matter the query, James was on hand to suppprt us, give suggestions, point us in the right direction, offer extra ideas and generally keep us calm!



Our wedding was that of dreams, and the tipi really made it! The decorations were flawless and our guests were absolutely stunned at the beauty of it all.

I can't speak highly enough of James and his team, outstanding service from first meeting James up until having the tipi's packed away after our wedding. Nothing was too much hassle. Once the tipi's were first put up, and the lads had left, we realised we were a few tables short. As soon as I got I touch to ask for more tables, one of the guys was back down to drop more off.

I'm just trying to think of another excuse to throw another party and use these tipi's again!

I can't recommend TipiChic enough! Right from the first email, James and his team have been outstanding. Never once was I concerned and all my queries no matter how small were answered happily and professionally. It was super hot on set up day but the guys worked so hard to set up our three tents. They listening to exactly what we wanted and made suitable suggestions to help us too. All the fairy lights were included and the complements throughout the wedding were incredible. The fire pit went down a storm and people are still asking us about the tipis! Not having a white marquee was the best decision we made and didn't regret using these guys for a second. Keep up the amazing work guys!

Had a Tipi for our wedding day and loved it. It rained a lot, but that didn't matter as we were warm and dry and it made for a brilliant atmosphere. James has been incredibly helpful throughout, really easy to work with, really responsive and just generally a nice bloke. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely brilliant! The team arrived and got the whole place set up ready to go so that we had a full day either side of the wedding to sort things out and add personal touches, the full overall effect of the tipi was amazing and looked particularly after dark! Tipi was set up for us on a cliff overlooking the sea, such a solid structure, withstood fairly brutal north Yorkshire coastal winds and still felt cosy and sheltered inside, can't recommend enough!

Just had my wedding with Tipi Chic. James has been brilliant from start to finish even help me to convince my mum and dad that a tipi wedding would work. Everyone has said to me how magical the day was. We had 2 big tipis and a snug. I had about 140 guests and there was loads of room ! I would also recommend getting one of the new bar boxes. Kirsten who does the bar was brilliant no request was to big for any of them.

Definitely recommend for a wedding just wish I could do it all again ! Thankyou xx

James and the crew were absolutely fantastic at our wedding, which used two tipis and a chill out tent. They were incredibly easy to deal with in the planning stages and in discussing our ideas and requirements, and couldn't have been more accommodating on the day with the furniture and additional extras they provided, giving more than was expected. The chill out tipi was a fantastic addition, and absolutely shouldn't be overlooked. Really good guys, and incredibly professional. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again, and the addition of Kristen's horsebox bar was the icing on the cake and made them a one-stop shop for all we needed

The Tipi's were the perfect setting for our quirky wedding reception and made the day for our guests! James and his wonderful team built 3 Tipis last weekend for our wedding. The Tipis were meant to be built fully on the Thursday but due to very bad winds it couldn't be done due to safety - They had a plan B and were very reassuring. The team worked unbelievably hard on the Friday to get everything done and sorted for us - They literally created the wedding of our dreams. The work and effort James and put in is simply amazing, Everyone is so friendly and lovely. From the start of our wedding planning with enquiries to the big day James was superb - nothing was a bother for him or his team, support was given at all times and helped us with pointers for other aspects of the wedding. Tipichic created the most magical wedding that exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you so much James and you fantastic team for everything!!

The unique and beautiful tipi had everyone talking on our big day, it even became our ceremony venue as the North Yorkshire weather threw everything it could at us. I can't speak highly enough of James and his team, outstanding service from first meeting James up until having the tipi's packed away after our wedding. Nothing was too much hassle. Once the tipi's were first put up, and the lads had left, we realised we were a few tables short. As soon as I got I touch to ask for more tables, one of the guys was back down to drop more off.

I'm just trying to think of another excuse to throw another party and use these tipi's again!

I can't recommend TipiChic enough! Right from the first email, James and his team have been outstanding. Never once was I concerned and all my queries no matter how small were answered happily and professionally. It was super hot on set up day but the guys worked so hard to set up our three tents. They listening to exactly what we wanted and made suitable suggestions to help us too. All the fairy lights were included and the complements throughout the wedding were incredible. The fire pit went down a storm and people are still asking us about the tipis! Not having a white marquee was the best decision we made and didn't regret using these guys for a second. Keep up the amazing work guys!

Absolutely brilliant! The team arrived and got the whole place set up ready to go so that we had a full day either side of the wedding to sort things out and add personal touches, the full overall effect of the tipi was amazing and looked particularly after dark! Tipi was set up for us on a cliff overlooking the sea, such a solid structure, withstood fairly brutal north Yorkshire coastal winds and still felt cosy and sheltered inside, can't recommend enough!

We had a double tipi for our wedding at northshire and it was amazing! All the guests were impressed and it fitted our seaside theme well as we were able to decorate as we wished. Thank you for making our wedding day amazing!

The whole team of TipiChic are really lovely down to earth people, you have loads of questions - "no problem", you want something different - "no problem", you want honest answers - "no problem" you want Yorkshire prices - "no problem"..
