What a great night we had last night for the 3 course meal and bottomless fizz. Food was beautiful and service was fab couldnt fault anything . Defo worth every penny. Infact we have booked again lol. �

We visited here last night with some Friends and our children, (7 of us in total). It was our first visit, however our friends have been before...



Wow! We loved it.

The place has a really nice atmosphere.... Professional, yet quirky, yet relaxed, and family friendly!!



The staff were brilliant, very attentive, though not over bearing, our glasses never made it to empty before we were offered a top up!



The food was so tasty! Served in imaginative ways.... Our delicious double dipped chips came served in a stainless steel chip scoop. (no grubby chopping boards as plates! I do detest those!)

It was very reasonably priced.... And enough to be full.... But not so full that we couldn't indulge in a delicious dessert!

The childrens meals were amazing value for money, and were a great portion size!



We have been advised that just turning up on her off chance isn't always a good idea....

So we'll get a table booked as we will most certainly be returning !!!

Visited Toronto lodge Friday night with the family and the staff were very polite, friendly and welcoming � Food was outstanding, compliments too the chiefs, would recommend to anybody!

The Toronto was a wonderful place to visit! Friendly bar staff and a fabulous view out the back ! The best surprise was how absolutely delicious the food was! Fish batter was the crispiest lightest I have had up north lately! The sri lankan curry was to die for! My complement s to the chef! Excellent high quality for a nominal price! One thing I would suggest get a good internet wifi service too and they should be flocking to your place ...

Pork belly was absolutely amazing the best I have ever had and very well complemented by the mash and veg my daughters burger and chips was also amazing she ate the lot not a scrap left and let’s not forget the desserts to die for well done will be calling back soon also very welcoming and friendly staff what a perfect family night 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Lovely set meal for mothers day : really tasty food and great service! Only suggestion is perhaps to make a bit more of a special effort for us mums on mothers day e.g.- a couple of chocolates or a rose or even a "happy mothers day greeting fromstaff - - just a thought to make it a little bit more special

Lovely cozy place with a very friendly atmosphere and delicious food. staff were very accommodating and manager did his best to take on every request from my very fussy little ones. An extra big thank you to your lovely waitress chloe....my boys usually find it very hard to sit still for long anywhere but she managed to keep them occupied and we managed to have a very enjoyable meal. thank you..

Had Sunday Lunch for my husband and mothers birthday today, it was fabulous. The food was absolutely gorgeous the staff were so attentive particularly Scott, Kelly and Nicole they made my mothers birthday special Thank you so much I cannot recommend this place highly enough and we certainly be back. Keep up the good work

Great place to eat, went to the Gin night at the end of May and been as a family and with friends. Food on all occasions has been good and service was very good, polite and courteous.

First visit with family yesterday evening before heading to Kynren. Beautiful inside and out and the staff were very welcoming. Food was great, service was great and prices are very reasonable. we will definitely be back. Can’t believe we’ve never been before and we are only 5 minutes down the road. Thank you.

Attended the Gin Night last night for a little mother-daughter evening and can only I'm very impressed! Customer service was brilliant, Caitlyn and Robbie took care of all guests in the conservatory wonderfully! Food was fab, drinks were amazing and the atmosphere with the live band brought something extra special to the venue! Loved the talk from Poetic Licence Distillery, really informative and interesting to know about what you're actually drinking!



Defo recommended!!

We came in a large party and I ordered Hunters Chicken, my chips were lovely but my chicken was like a house brick and it was very dry with barely any sauce.. I appreciate there was loads of us but maybe the kitchen could have been more organised with extra staff etc if this was the issue. However, it is done out really nicely and the views etc were lovely.

This lovely establishment could not be faulted on all my previous visits; unfortunately, that is not the case in this instance...

My family and I attended the Gin Night tonight - 3 courses and a gin to accompany each course:



- Firstly, the description on the event page states we have a gin for each course - a lovely lady then came over and explained that this isn't the case, and we will be provided 8 small taster gins each (not shots, but a 5th of a shot), as we have already had one taster each. So this was very deceiving. Accompanied with the very small portions of food, this now doesn't seem like value for money.



- Unfortunately, the "king" prawn starter was comparable to that of large everyday value prawns, certainly not king. They were the size of £2 coins, and at 4 of them? Certainly deceiving and not value for money.



- The poor young lady who was performing with the pianist; her microphone kept cutting out constantly; but she was very complementary to the atmosphere.



- When it came to the mains; the slow cooked beef was mostly gristle and fat, the vegetables were very burnt (they didn't state they came "blackened", unfortunately for the kitchen staff), my risotto was stone cold, the jambalaya rice was overcooked, the chicken was burnt, and overall over-spiced (my grandmother and mother could not finish theirs as it was burning their mouths from the heat), the duck was also extremely overcooked and tasted terrible.



- The service was extremely slow; our young glass collector couldn't carry more than 3-4 glasses and/or plates at once, and this appeared to be his first shift ever; no customer service skills, and no one asking how our food was. Definitely not suitable for the shift/job role.



- It was tiresome having 3 courses spaced out over nearly 4 hours, but that's something the kitchen staff can certainly take in their stride and prepare for next time.





If this wasn't such a beautiful and friendly atmosphere, that serves beautiful food and drink, then this review could easily be 2 stars.



Thank you to the staff, as we were refunded one meal and are quite grateful for that.



The usual staff here are marvellous, conscientious and a pleasure to be served by.

very disappointed last time, I arrived with 2 friends at 8.20 last Wednesday to a very frosty reception to be told they would have to see if the kitchen was still open! the whole evening felt rushed and the staff weren't as bothered as they usually were, the food however was nice but I wasn't allowed a coffee at the end of my meal as the coffee machine had been cleaned (it was 9.30) felt in general that the standards are slipping. I'm not sure if I'll return �

We ve been lots to the Toronto lodge food is lovely but last night we rang up just before 6 to see if they could fit us in at short notice they said yes but we needed to vacate the table at 8 p.m. to which we said that was very fair no problem after our main course we were asked if we wanted a dessert to which we said no. Then they returned about 20 seconds later to ask if you wanted anything else at that point we still had half a glass each and it was only 7:20 we said not just now to which the young man waiter came back again and said well can you please move to the bar I was disgusted I felt like they wanted rid of us we left our drinks and paid our bill not good service at all felt unwelcome

Fish friday was just fish n chips, no peas even. Not asked if we wanted any sauces. Dessert was tiny....massive plate with a one inch slice of brownie on.... certainly not worth 5 pound!! Bill came and was charged wrongly, thy amended and was still wrong! In end gave up, paid more than we should and left. Very disappointed.

Went for lunch today with my partner after waiting 40 minutes for our food (it wasn’t very busy) we were very disappointed!! My meal looked like it had been kept warm under a heat lamp for ages....nothing was fresh it was as though they were using up old stock the tomato tasted like nothing I could even describe the chips tasted sweet and the lettuce was limp and soggy on the plate.... the gammon was so hard I couldn’t cut it up but wasn’t well done as the rind/fat was still white!! My parters meal wasn’t much better. He had very tough jerk chicken with very bland rice and peas!We received £4 off the meal,the very unhelpful waitress said it was discounted off for the gammon meal....very disappointing awful meal with awful service will not return ( somewhere we have used pretty regularly aswell)
