The SWE in Peterlee is one of two in England, 24 in the world. There is a strategic alliance between Caterpillar and Infinite Learning and Development to utilise the facilities for non Caterpillar use. For this area of the business there is minimal direct competition in the region. The unique selling point is the world class facilities and training environment that are not available within 200 miles. Initial observation would indicate the business is aimed at manufacturing but promotional information and the marketing strategy will demonstrate that the concepts and theories learnt can be applied to any area in an organisation. Infinite Learning and Development can utilise these facilities to develop, train and up skill the local community as well as the workforce of the companies and industries in the surrounding North East area, including industrial, commercial, engineering, manufacturing and logistics, contact centres and professional services such as finance, HR and IT. Regular and additional as well as bespoke training packages will be offered to ensure business needs are met.
