You‚Äôve got Deadlifts, squats, overhead press, bentover row, pull ups, bench press... the list goes on. Now, I always tend to stay away from injuries or things I don‚Äôt know much about as a #personaltrainer ūüŹčūüŹľ‚Äć‚ôÄÔłŹ I would never accept somebody as a client if I couldn‚Äôt get them to their goal. This lovely lady came to me with a knee problem, but the problem lies within the weakness in muscles surrounding her knee and she knew exactly what the problem was, with a referral from her physio. Now this is something I CAN do. Knowing this problem is all too familiar for myself, due to ha...ving experienced a knee injury around 9 years ago when I first ever started weight training (before I was qualified ūüėČ). My lovely client is recovering from an ongoing knee injury, and her primary goal was to strengthen around her knee to keep it stable and reduce pain (as recommended by her physio). So this is what we‚Äôve been focusing on but alongside some fat loss ready for her winter #wedding ūüĎįūüŹĽ She hasn‚Äôt only achieved just one of those goals, but BOTH OF THEM. TEAM PRESS UPS ūüí™ūüŹĽ #pressups - that exercise that most females dread. The standard conversations of ‚ÄėI can‚Äôt do them‚Äô ‚ÄėI wish I could do 10 proper ones‚Äô ‚Äėmy upper body is really weak‚Äô blah blah blah. Press ups are a bitch. They‚Äôre that kinda exercise that everybody wants to do and do well, kinda for a party trick ūü§∑ūüŹľ‚Äć‚ôÄÔłŹ BUT you‚Äôre not going to get good at doing press ups unless you do press ups ūü§¶ūüŹľ‚Äć‚ôÄÔłŹ Start small and work your way up (like any goal intended!).
