We stayed in the Pods and what an amazing few days we have had - Plenty to do Great for kids of all ages, parks are fab Staff are so friendly and helpful, we will 100% be back xx

User

This is our second visit, made even more special as it’s our honeymoon. The staff are all so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The site itself is immaculate, and the lodge that we are in is stunning. Booking the holiday was so easy, and all the special requests have not only been done, but improved upon as well

All we can say is thank you, and carry on as you are 😊😊😊

User

Stayed here in July for a mon to Friday break in one of your superior lodges . Very nice lodge everything looked brand new . Staff very helpful . Our wee boy had a ball in the club house at the amusements. Food is very good and reasonably priced and so is the drinks. Park is well kept clean and tidy. Thank you

User

Second time here with the touring caravan and just as good as the first. Made very welcome by reception staff on arrival which puts you at ease straight away. Park was busy and loads of friendly people and kids were not too noisy at all. Bar staff were brilliant and the meal was superb. A big thank you to all the staff for keeping the place neat and tidy and especially the bar staff namely Lee, Lesley and Sam. Entertainment was a duo who were not too bad and the entertainment for the kids was well planned out. A big thanks to the management team and all the kids seamed to take to Josh who was brilliant. I’ll definitely be back in the future.

User

Just got back from our very first touring caravan stay here just one night... we absolutely loved it!! So very helpful and accommodating. We were so nervous about it all as our first time but there was no need!! We’ve booked up again for next weekend

User

Just about to check out after a short break to Riverside. We had a Superior caravan which was lovely, clean and well equipped. The site is in a lovely location, great walks for our dog and near the town centre if you need anything although there is a small shop on site. We used the pool and jacuzzi and were the only two people in at 10am. As it is out of the busy season we only visited the bar once but the staff were very friendly and it's a nice place for a drink. Good location for visiting nearby places like Alnwick and Bamburgh.

User

First time at riverside but it won't be the last time! Lovely caravan site with great staff who are kind and considerate.

I would just like to say a massive thanks to badly Brian and crazy Coral who made our week even more enjoyable with the time and effort they put in to ensuring our little ones had the best time ever! They are a massive credit to the great team there at riverside! See you's again soon!

User

We booked a camping pod last minute to finish our camping hol as it had turned cold. Lovely welcome, set up and walked over to the club house, 3/4 mins away. I quite liked that it was seperate as you didn't hear the noise from there. Had tea, not brilliant, the mashed potato dripped off your fork. Prices reasonable. Didn't see the entertainment. The pod was lovely and cosy, nothing in it, we slept on our airbeds. Toilet facilities were good, nice and clean, the pods are on the static caravan side of the river so not used as much as the camping side. The kids went swimming the following morning, small pool but they enjoyed it. Had breakfast at the Milk Bar next to the complex, was lovely. I'd love to go back to stay in a caravan and spend more time at Riverside.

User

They've been working very hard since we were last here on improving the site. The new rental caravan area looks great and the new caravans are so comfortable. The play area has been improved so much and the splash zone is great, just a pity it was so cold this weekend so even the kids wouldn't in there! Can't wait to see it all finished on our next visit. Staff great and helpful as always. We were a bit disappointed we could not take our dog in the bar area, he is allowed in the cafe where everybody is eating but not to sit quietly under the table when we went out for a drink, I would have expected more from such a dog friendly site.

User

Stayed at Riverview 3-4 times and have always enjoyed. Took my 21 month daughter on my last visit and she had a lovely time also, usually stay in deluxe caravan. Only negative is that i arrived home to find i had left a few items belonging to my daughter and had they not been brand new I would have left them but I thought I would ring to get them sent back to me. To be fair i didnt realise until I had been home a few weeks, I realised I had left the items hanging in the wardrobe. After an email response that wasn't very useful and 3 phone calls later, all made by me, only managed to get response on last call! I did receive a call back from a receptionist who was quite nice but said spoke to house keeping and someone else then rang me back and said they hadnt been handed in and that was the end of it. All i can say is be vigilant in ensuring you pack everything up or kiss it goodbye. I am booked for a lodge in april and will be making sure I dont make that mistake again, such a shame as if our party hadnt already booked i would be thinking twice about returning. Im part to blame for leaving the items but wont be making that mistake again.

User

Just returned from a four night stay with my two little lads! Arrived at van to find it incredibly clean and modern! The bar staff and manager were very friendly and we had lots of great conversations and laughs! Bar prices are not too expensive and food is good! Maybe a booking system would work a bit better for the pool as we stood once for 30 mins and just missed out and had to wait another hour for the next session to begin! Entertainment wasn’t great tbf but really enjoyed bingo, quiz and lucky keys. Thank you for a lovely holiday when moat certainly will return! Once again I cannot rate the staff enough Stuart, Lesley, Sam, Daniel, josh and Keith particularly!

User

Just returned from a weeks holiday at the Riverside. The site was nice and the caravan was lovely. The Receptionist lady was second to none in being helpful and welcoming. The only drawback is that the swimming pool limits you to 45 minute slots - and it is a little small for all the site to use. The surrounding area is very beautiful and neighbouring pubs are hospitable. The site is primarily aimed at young families.

User

Just got back home from a 3 night stay using the touring facilities. This is my 3rd visit this year and I can honestly say on a whole it’s not a bad site and especially being an hour away from home it’s dead handy. The reason for me not giving 5 stars is the spa in the pool has been broken since August last year! Could you not just get it fixed ? Kids are alway disappointed and it’s become a running joke for them when we book up. Also the Bar prices could be better priced. The amount of guest on that site and all 3 nights the place was practically empty. Such a shame.

User

Its about the 5th time staying at the site and have never had any problems in the past. Can't complain about the caravan, we booked a 2bed deluxe and it had everything you would expect and more (iron, ironing board, hairdryer, coffee maker!)

Site is lovely, not too busy, not too noisy on an evening, kids love both the play park areas, lovely area to walk out - close enough to Wooler if you need to pop into town for anything. Used the pool for the first time, and although it's small, by only allowing 20 in at a time it doesn't feel busy (only 9 of us it when we visited)

Only disappointment was the 'clubhouse' on Saturday night. We had noticed prior to travelling the Facebook page advertising a Halloween Party, and the kids where really excited to go. We got down to the club at 620 (thinking we were early) to discover the place packed and the kids entertainment already started. No seats available and even very little standing room (slightly concerned that by H&S standards it was probably too busy)

We heard many people complaining and rumours that the doors had opened between 5/530 due to the amount of people waiting to be in. Not going into full detail - I have sent a separate direct message via FB page however

I expect a lot of people complained over the weekend.

However- this will not put us off coming back, we have already got lodges booked for New Year, but don't think we would use the evening entertainment again.

User

Great caravan and site but the bar is a disgrace. No entertainment because a private function was on. No notice of this on the website. The one male toilet is out of order but still being used and stinks. Get me back to the caravan. It's full of pissed up adults swearing their heads off.

User

Our first time at Riverside leisure park, swimming pool wasn't on site, you had to cross the very busy main road to get to it. There was no staff around for the small arcade area to get your £1 back when the machine took it!! Caravans were too close together, hardly enough room to have a bar be que. No complaints from the kids tho' they loved it.

User

At first glance the carvan park seems to be layed out OK with the fishing lake and the river running through with thought of an Indoor pool witch is only a small walk to it but then u have to cross a busy road the statik and cabin side is well laid out with plenty of room then when u go around the touring side by the time u park your van and put your awning up not much space for your car or not much room for a bbq or a little gaverin like we like to then when we went up to the toilets they seemed to be a bit crammed in the floor was always a wet the showers didn't have much space it says on the sign to leave shower curtain in the basement while in use the shower on the left the curtain didn't even reach the basin there was no room to swing a cat as the saying goes ther was no were to hang your clothing so once u have a shower your clothes would be all wet after putting them on the floor
