could not of had a better weekend away the lodge was more than I could of hoped for. The people are so friendly and the staff were great only problem was that the shop was closed for the three days we were there bout other than that the holiday was great deffo be going back

Our second stay at Heather View in the last year. Once again a great stay. On arrival the reception was once again very friendly and efficient. We stayed in a superior three bed in Ash Grove, we stayed in the Deluxe last time and there isn’t too much in the Models difference but more storage by a long way in the deluxe, the deluxe where all booked up at time of booking. The caravan was spotless and the beds are so comfortable. The park is maintained to a very high standard, can’t fault it. WiFi is great, very important as the wife needed to work for two days. The location is fantastic as it’s a short walk through the woods to Stanhope, great little place, best tea rooms, run by Debbie our friend! The only gripes is you can hear the entertainment on Friday and Saturday night at the crazy bear, which might be a problem in the summer with your windows open, not massively noisy but it might spoil it for some and some people park their cars on the grass verges and not in the allocated car parks in each area, we had one chap who parked his car at the end of our drive and was a right pain to get out reversing but he moved it for us. Overall love it here, kids love it, watching the animals in the morning, safe to play out, if it was 60 miles nearer we would have a caravan here for sure but it’s a 180 mile trip 3 hrs on a good run, so not viable for weekends which is a shame. We will be back later this year!

Lovely site nestled on the valley side up from the river. Great views and easy enjoyable walk into the picturesque town of Stanhope. We loved our stay.

User

Lovely last minute weekend stay, lodge was beautiful and staff were amazing. Very helpful and friendly from start to finish. Will definitely be returning.

Just back from a weekend in a 2 bedroom caravan with my 2 dogs. Everyone on site from the receptionist to the cleaners and grounds men were extremely nice. Having never been in a static caravan before I was pleasantly surprised to the comfort given and while I did not use any facilities other than the shop loved the space it gave me to take my pooches on walks by the river and into Stanhope. I will definitely be back later in the year.

Just back from a long weekend at Heather View. Park is clean and very well kept, staff friendly and welcoming. Decent playparks for kids and enjoyed food and drinks in Crazy Bear bar. Stayed in superior 2 caravan which was excellent, very spacious, comfortable and everything spotlessly clean. Within walking distance of Stanhope which is a nice market town with plenty of shops, also Weardale Heritage railway which runs past the caravan park and plenty of places to visit in local area. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Brilliant caravan site.. recommended by my auntie and uncle, Dave and Denise. Had 5 days here and will definitely be back for Christmas then start coming here a couple of times a year, cant fault the place!

User

Absolutely superb few days break at this beautiful site. Quiet and peaceful surroundings with gorgeous views. We had a wheelchair friendly caravan which looked brand new and was spotlessly clean. Beds were comfy and we slept well despite the heat 😂 Loved having a wet room instead of a teeny shower. Kitchen was equipped with everything you would need and there was even washing up liquid, tea towel and dishcloth. Staff were very friendly. Had meals and drinks a couple of times in the on site bar and restaurant, food was delicious and freshly cooked. All in all, a lovely place, well recommended, thank you.

User

Loved my caravan on Ashgrove, had it for 10 years until we decided it was time to go once they started renting them out, over 3500 pound in site fees , sorry time to move on.
