We've some beautiful heritage sites across our region but did you know we offer support to victims of crime across this whole area too?
Even if you live in a rural community or live just before the Scotland or Cumbrian border, we can support you.

Would you be interested in using this personal experience to join Northumbria Polices Central Engagement Team, Safer Gateshead & Gateshead Council and Victims First Northumbria in working to increase referrals for support? If so, a Hate Crime; Victim Action Group is being developed in Gateshead. If you would like to be part of this important group get in touch on the details on the poster.

Did you know there is a safe way to call the Police if you are unable to speak? This could be so useful to many people especially in #domesticabuse cases and #stalking

Today is #FolkloreThursday - so how many people are know the local folklore around the North East?
At Low Fell, people feared the nightly apparition of the Portobello Braag or what about the legends of a mysterious creature known in the Cheviots as the Broon Man o’ the Moors.
Not forgetting the nightly ghoul that terrorised people on the Dog Leap Stairs in Newcastle in the form of a pig or dog and of course the Lambton Worm
... Cheery thoughts indeed. Tell us your folklore stories - we'd love to hear them.

Just one of the email scams doing the rounds at the minute - don't fall for it. If something is too good to be true, it usually is.

Can you help?
Could anyone spare a couple of hours to help out our #traumateddy scheme at our Cobalt offices in North Tyneside in the next few weeks?
We have hundreds of knitted bears that need quality checking and tagging, so they are ready to give out to the Police to give to children who have witnessed or experienced distressing incidents

You can now show your support for Victims First by buying us a coffee - click on the link below to find out how your coffee (£3) can help victims of crime.
We understand not everyone has £3 to spare however if you cant buy us a coffee, we would love it if you shared this post in the hope someone else might be able to so we can keep on doing great things for victims of crime across Northumberland & Tyne and Wear, helping them cope and recover from what it is they've experienced.
