This article shows the importance of defibrillators. Does your organisation have one? The medics canŌĆÖt explain why the lady went into sudden cardiac arrest, which goes to show it could be any of us.
Speak to us about purchasing and AED (defibrillator) or training.

Can you spot whatŌĆÖs wrong here? And no itŌĆÖs not that he did 31 instead of 30 compressions.
We think this gentlemen is acting in good faith and has probably had first aid training at some point. This is probably a combination of the heat of the moment combined with skill slippage due to lack of refresher training.
Would you know what to do? Would your skills be as slick as they day you passed your course? Get in touch with us at info@vortex.training to enquire about First Aid and refresher courses.

Under the health and safety regulations, employers have an obligation to intervene if an employee becomes physically unwell or is injured. But what about helping those with mental illness?
If an employee becomes physically unwell or is injured, there is a good chance that someone trained in physical first aid will be on hand to help. But can we say the same of mental health? If someone has a panic attack, or is experiencing suicidal thoughts, would the same support be there f...or them?
Would you know what to do if a fellow employee experienced these in the workplace?
Speak with Vortex Training Solutions about our Mental Health Awareness workshops to help understand what is is you need to do!

Our Commercial Manager, Rob, was at the Customs House this evening to witness the official presentation of the AED from Rotary ClubŌĆÖs of Jarrow with Harton & Cleadon and District. Rob then gave a demonstration of the unit to the club, explaining and demonstrating how the AED works.

I am a professional dog walker and I already have an accredited pet first aid qualification, but I achieved that nearly two years ago. So today I spent a very enjoyable and informative four hours refreshing my skills with an accredited Pet First Aid course delivered by the very competent Rob Mackins of Vortex Training Solutions Ltd.. It was also lovely to see fellow dog professionals Elaine Haggerston and Emma Brandon on the course. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who has a dog, not just people who look after them for a living. I do hope they put the Advanced Course on in future.

Excellent company. Professional and enjoyable courses

Cannot recommend Rob enough, he's a fantastic trainer, professional and very knowledgeable, but his classes/sessions are ran in with a great fun atmosphere, where even students who in their everyday working life would shy away from situations interacted. A great all-rounder, look forward to working with Rob again soon!
